Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works with Sony EX1 and SDXC 64 gig card like a charm! Great, so much cheaper and more gigs. I bought the sony here at B&H http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=sony+sdxc&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ma&Top+Nav-Search= Recorded in HQ for 3 hours. Imported the footage straight into FCPX 10.2 without transcoding and ready to edit. Will have to use proxy files for multicam edits. YOur EX 1 must have at least firmware version 1.13. My cameras have 1.25 and 1.26 both worked. If you have an older version firmware you will have to have your camera serviced at Sony for a few hunder bucks. They have to do a lens mode and an internal mod. Works like a charm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great bang for your buck! I now use these almost exclusively, coupled with the best-fastest SDHC cards I can purchase. Huge advantage: Card media being readable without any special SONY interface! Second advantage: $$$$ Scale up your storage for a fraction of SONY media cost. Disadvantage: Cannot shoot high-speed (slow motion) with anything but SONY media, which is fine so I keep a SONY card handy just for that. Overall and with hundreds of hours of use, I have found these to be AS RELIABLE as using SONY media exclusively. No complaints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it should and cheap I am using these with San Disk Pro 32G - 95mps SD cards in Sony EX-3 cameras and they work just like the Sony SXS cards . They don't include a case but if you have a Porta Brace SXS carrier that won't matter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for? This card adapter accepts all brands of SDHC and SDXC cards I've encountered. On the opposite side, e-films MxR Extreme I own as well and used to recommend is picky. Neither of two has ever failed on me. I use them on a weekly basis for about two hours since 2010. Even more expensive Hoodman SxSxSDHC doesn't grant reliability. One of two I own has failed, corrupted data and since then is unusable. Funny, but it turns out the cheaper you go, the better you get.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great Use 2 of these in a Sony PMW-EX1R with SanDisk 32GB SDHC Memory Card Extreme Class 10s. Work great, no apparent difference from the Sony SxS card. Just to test it out, they even worked in EX Slow Shutter mode. Makes transferring to MacBook Pro easy via ExpressCard slot. The only annoying aspect is that it's easy to press and eject the SDHC card when your attempting to insert/eject the SxS adapter from the camera or ExpressCard slot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Useful product I use this in my PMW320 with 32gig SD cards.I bought $ worth of equipment at once but could not afford the ever pricey SxS cards.I monitor with my Atomos Shogun and also record to the hard drive of the Shogun in 10bit 422 color space which is even better than the Sony's 35 mega bits per second rate that the camera records at internally. You will need something in the recording slots for the camera to operate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Adept Performer I have a Sony XDCAM camera that uses SxS cards and I was looking for some additional recording capacity without breaking the bank for the actual SXS cards. I tried this SDHC adapter and paired it with Lexar 64GB SDXC cards as the media. For my application the cards performed flawlessly for recording both short clips and longer clips (90 min +).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Product This adapter is a great alternative to the extremely pricey SxS cards for Sony cameras. It has saved me on multiple shoots by enabling me to use SDHC cards seamlessly. The adapter works just like an SxS card, and the method of inserting/ejecting an SD card from within is a piece of cake.
