I am having issues that I didn't have when using the Sony adapter. I am sending the 2 Sonnets back for arefund and orderibg the more expensive Sony adapters.

This card adapter accepts all brands of SDHC and SDXC cards I've encountered. On the opposite side, e-films MxR Extreme I own as well and used to recommend is picky. Neither of two has ever failed on me. I use them on a weekly basis for about two hours since 2010. Even more expensive Hoodman SxSxSDHC doesn't grant reliability. One of two I own has failed, corrupted data and since then is unusable. Funny, but it turns out the cheaper you go, the better you get.

I use it with my Sony EX3 and Sandisk 64gb Extreme Pro Uhs-I SD card. Together they work perfectly and save me a lot of $$.

This simple adapter allowed us to record with a Sony PXW-X200 and a normal SD card, saving us several hundred dollars over the proprietary Sony SxS cards.

Is this compatible with Sony PXW-z280? I'm unable to use it with codec faster than 100mbps and my card is sony tough-g 300Mb/s My goal would be to use with XAVC-L 3840x2160p 59.97

I would only expect this adapter to work with UHS-1 type SD cards and associated transfer speeds. And on top of that Sony cameras tend to require native SxS media to utilize advanced codecs and/or higher framerates and/or higher color precision

For the higher recording settings on the PMW100 or PMW300 this adapter simply may not work.

From my experience, you cannot access the footage through an SXS reader. You just take the SD card out of the SXS-adapter and capture/copy the footage either through the Macbook's built-in or external SD card reader.
