The SHARK FBQ100 Automatic Feedback Destroyer from Behringer is a compact device that eliminates feedback and provides other versatile features in an easy-to-use design. Ideal for PA applications, the unit has an intelligent "learn mode" that can automatically equalize your PA and protect your system from feedback. The search algorithm uses narrow FBQ filters that can destroy up to 8 feedback frequencies while maintaining sonic integrity.

The SHARK FBQ100 also has an integrated mic preamplifier with 48V phantom power for use with condenser mics. The balanced XLR and 1/4" inputs can accept mic and line signals with full gain control. There are also balanced XLR and 1/4" outputs for wide system compatibility. A delay line offers up to 2.5 seconds of adjustable delay, while a noise gate offers automatic and manual parameter settings. There is an automatic compressor with variable density, as well as a subsonic filter with an adjustable cut-off frequency.

Compact design, ideal for PA applications
The intelligent "learn mode" can automatically equalize your PA and protect your system from feedback
The search algorithm uses narrow 1/60 octave single-shot FBQ filters that can destroy up to 8 feedback frequencies while maintaining sonic integrity. The remaining filters work automatically as required, adjusting only feedback-specific frequencies
The adjustable mic preamplifier has ultra-low noise technology for high-quality sound. It also offers 48V phantom power for use with condenser mics
The balanced gold-plated XLR and 1/4" inputs can accept mic and line signals with full gain control
Servo-balanced gold-plated XLR and 1/4" outputs let you choose between line or mic output levels for connecting and converting virtually any type of signal with a variety of devices
The delay line offers up to 2.5 seconds of delay, which can be adjusted in meters, feet, or milliseconds to compensate for time variations due to speaker positioning in large venues
The noise gate offers automatic and manual parameter settings
There is an automatic compressor with variable density
Integrated subsonic filter with an adjustable cut-off frequency
Optional rack-mount kit available (sold separately) for convenient installation

SHARK FBQ100 Automatic Feedback Destroyer is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little audio multi-tool First off, this little box obviously doesn't work as well as higher end dedicated equipment for each of its functions, but it has been invaluable in my toolkit because it does a bit of everything pretty well. The line delay works great, but the instructions that come in the box don't seem to include one detail: to speed up the scan rate, hold the up/down button in the direction you want to go and then tap the other button to change the scan speed. The feedback eliminator works fairly well for an automatic feedback system. Other functions work as advertised. Wonderful, inexpensive tool to keep around for when you inevitably need it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good The FBQ100 passed the set-it-up in the garage test with flying colors. First, phantom power works like a champ. The challenge is using a vintage RCA ribbon mic with almost no backside rejection. I raised the gain on the mic till I got significant feedback. The Shark suppressed that band within a few seconds. More gain, more feedback on a different frequency, again suppressed, repeated again and again. Same result. I don't know how it would deal with a 5th frequency since my understanding is that 4 frequencies is the limit of its capacity. For really complex applications, use a 24-band graphic/parametric EQ.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Price, Great Quality Great value for the money! Very functional! We use the compressor and the delay to control all ouputs of our mixers for your school media productions. I took away one star for not including the manual in the box. I had to go to the manufactures website to download it then print it out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does what it says I bought this item for two main reasons: 1. to use as a delay box for sync of live audio with soundboard and video editing/audio sync 2. to use for feedback suppression on monitor sends This unit performs very well at both. Some have criticized the compression, but I was able to get a not overly squashed tone trying that out. The gate is a nice feature too. This unit does give off some heat and I do not intend to rackmount it for that reason. Good bang for the buck!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked Straight Out of the Box! I'm no audio expert but have been learning on the fly. We played a gig shortly after receiving this unit and feedback issues I had been experiencing went away - and that's with the default settings! I'll have to see if playing around with the controls make the sound even better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value! Currently only using the delay feature to time audio monitoring to LCD HD video monitor in a post-production edit suite. LCD delay varies between high-def and standard-def projects and the FBQ100 makes it easy to set up the appropriate delay. Would be 6 stars if it had presets to recall, but for all its functions, it is a great purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great delay only i have played with this thing for about a week and have used it in about 8 setups so far. the best use for this little guy in my opinion is for the delay. I do not like the compressor, feedback eliminator or gate on this unit.delay is perfect and for $ cant beat it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great device for delaying audio This inexpensive device is great for delaying audio from 0 to 2.5 seconds in order to keep visuals in lip sync. One downside is that it does not have a bypass switch, but other than that, it really does the job. I have four of them.
