question

If I want to use 2 headsets with the wingman base station (to connect to my wired comms), can I use 2 of these BP-500 master belt packs or do I need one of the BP-500R1 or BP-500R2? What is the difference between the BP-500 and the R1 and R2?
Asked by: Dan
The ProLink system supports a total of 4 users max. This would include an master unit and 3 remotes (BP-500R1, 2, and 3.) The 1, 2 and 3 indicate the remotes units for a complete 4 user system. Two master remotes will not communicate with each other. When using the Wingman, it acts a master. You will just need remote units R1 and R2. you can use up to 3 remotes with the Wingman.

The unit you sent is the PortaCom BP-500M Master Beltpack for the ProLink 500 Intercom. It will work only with up to 4 users total. As with all wireless units you must have the same frequency. The one you sent is in the 902-928 MHz range. Your system is made to work with only 4 units.
