The Sennheiser 2000ENG Portable Wireless Combo System features the Sennheiser EK 2000 portable receiver, SK 2000XP bodypack transmitter and SKP 2000-XP plug-in transmitter with +48V phantom power for use with condenser microphones. The 2000 series delivers a superior feature set over the Sennheiser 100, 300 and 500 series wireless systems.

The 2000 series is specifically optimized for professional mobile and location recording in video, film, ENG broadcast, sound design and more. Both transmitters and receiver feature a sturdy all-metal housing (including battery door). The ultra-wide 72MHz switching bandwidth provides up to 2,880 frequencies and adaptive diversity technology minimizes drop-out, noise and RF interference, resulting in greater range and frequency stability.

The receiver features separate headphone monitor and balanced main output via 1/8" (3.5mm) locking connections. Adjustable 10, 30, 50 or 100 mW RF output power settings provide increased range and stable transmission over long distances. Squelch control allows for precise settings in 2dB steps up to 25dBμV, and the transmitter / receiver settings are easily synced via infrared.

    2000ENG Portable Wireless Combo System (Frequency B / 626 - 698MHz) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Wireless System As a professional Sound Mixer, I've been using the Senn 2000 series for several years in ENG, Film and Tevelevisoin. throughout this time, I've only grown more fond of this system. The wide bandwidth of the system really shines in RF heavy environments when frequencies are properly coordinated. Using a proper Lav, like the Sanken Cos11, Countryman B6, B3 or DPA mics really makes the 2000 series shine and I favor the warmth and harmonics provided by this system and it's cable emulation mode, when compared to other manufacturer's wireless systems. Additionally, I've had Zero range issues with these. Shockingly, my farthest reception distance according to laser range finder and the camera team, during a feature I recently mixed out in the desert Yucca Valley was just over 1/2 mile, in the bag before dropouts. Dropouts started once talent decended a couple hills and I lost line of sight...signal returned with line of sight as talent ascended 3/4 of a mile away. My only gripe is the fact that I feel sound mixers could be better served if the antenna set-up used SMA connectors, so an in-bag RF distro solution with external antenna could be used... Although I love Lectros and Wisycom, especially for their antenna setups, these Sennys are very hard to beat. They are the only wireless in my personal kit...though I'm now considering the Lectro L series. I'll start building a cart soon and these Sennys have me looking at their 9000 series. I've attached a couple pics, first is of my bag, second is of the actual location, during the take where I got insane range...Talent is on their way to the rock tower on that first peak in the distance... I couldn't beleive it...though keep in mind the RF spectrum was clear and I coordinated freqs before the shoot.
