The LCT 640 Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone from Lewitt includes a windscreen, a shockmount, an artificial leather pouch, and a black carrying case. The microphone is suitable for lead and background vocals, percussion instruments, grand pianos, brass, woodwinds, and classical music ensembles. The LCT 640 offers the standard omnidirectional, cardioid, and figure-8 patterns, as well as broad-cardioid and super-cardioid characteristics. It has a dynamic range of 135 dB and a low self-noise of 10 dB. The 4-level high-pass filter and 4-level switchable pre-attenuation add versatility in recording situations. Additional features include automatic attenuation, key-lock, clipping history, push buttons, and a light-up user interface.

Flat frequency response for natural, authentic sound
Five consistent directional characteristics: cardioid, omnidirectional, figure-8, broad-cardioid, and super-cardioid offer flexibility in a variety of recording applications
10 dB self-noise and max SPL of 145 dB for a total dynamic range of 135 dB, providing acoustic presence and clarity
4-position switchable pre-attenuation pad (0, 6, 12, and 18 dB) for handling high sound pressure levels and a 4-position high-pass filter
Illuminated user interface for quick and easy handling in dark environments
Noiseless push buttons for quick and easy attenuation and HPF selection
Clipping history, automatic attenuation, and key-lock provide error-free recording and ease of use
Large hexagonal ruthenium-galvanized steel mesh grille provides an open acoustic environment and prevents unwanted internal reflections
