It won't work with Canon's most popular 50mm lenses for the EF and RF mount. Please call, email, or chat with us so we can help you find the right lens hood for your needs.

question

Will this lens hood create vignetting when paired to a Canon QL 17 GIII? (it's got a 40mm f1.7 lens)
Asked by: Jonathan O.
Quick answer is no. The QL17 doesn't really shoot well at 1.7, and you'll see a bit of vignetting wide open on this lens anyway. I don't think the hood will add any more noticeable vignetting, if any at all. The lens starts to get sharp at f2.8, and you will not see any vignetting at all (including with the hood). Also, the camera seems to work best at mid subject distances, between f4-f8 (and maybe f11). Hope this helps!
