Acer UD.P01AA.579 Overview

  • 1Description

The Acer Predator G6 Desktop Computer comes built with an unlocked Intel Core i7-7700K processor, 16GB of DDR4 memory, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics, so you can play games with smooth frame rates or edit large-sized images without experiencing system slowdowns. The Intel Core i7-7700K processor is more than enough to stay in pace with the GTX 1080 graphics card by offering speeds between 4.2 and 4.5 GHz. If you need the processor for video editing tasks, the processor can handle that as well. In addition, you can set the unlocked processor to operate above its maximum speed for keeping up with future demands.

The Predator G6 comes with a two-storage drive system that lets it provide fast boot times and access to files, coming from a 256GB SSD, as well as ample amounts of storage capacity for your multimedia content with a 2TB 7200 rpm hard drive. The preinstalled operating system is Windows 10 Home along with a trial version of Microsoft Office.

Getting back to visuals, the dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card comes outfitted with 8GB of GDDR5X video memory, so you can enable ultra-detailed settings at 4K resolutions. Based upon Pascal architecture, the GeForce GTX 1080 can render highly-detailed 3D textures and is VR-ready, allowing you to be fully immersed in virtual environments by connecting an optional VR headset. Aside from graphics, a 730W power supply is on board for powering the internal components and other devices you wish to add.

On the outside of the case, you will discover two USB 2.0 and six USB 3.0 ports along with a SuperMulti DVD burner, an SDXC card reader, and an easy-swap expansion bay, which lets you quickly hot-swap 3.5" hard drives. Other notable connections include HDMI, DisplayPort, and DVI outputs as well as five audio jacks, which are powered by Creative's Sound Blaster X-Fi MB5 with EAX 5.0. For wireless connections, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 LE are available. There's even a Gigabit Ethernet port that creates a reliable connection for online gaming matches. Included along with the Predator G6 to help you win are a mechanical gaming keyboard and a gaming mouse.

Predator G6 Features

The Predator G6 desktop features a tank tread and plated armor design as well as red LEDs. For convenience, a pop-out cradle is on board for hanging your headset. The Predator G6 is powered by a 7th generation Intel Core i7-7700K processor, 16GB of DDR4 system memory, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics. This level of performance generates heat, so Acer has designed the Predator G6 with an IceTunnel thermal system, which provides multiple air intake zones on the front and left sides of the machine to create an efficient air flow that pushes out hot air. Moreover, the Predator G6's chassis is easy to open, allowing you to perform modifications on the system.
Storage Access
The Easy-swap expansion bay lets users move or switch their data quickly and provides expandability for up to two drives. A hard disk lock allows you to lock your important data for security. Frequently-used multimedia devices can be quickly access by using the desktop's SD card slot and USB 3.0 ports in the front, so you can transfer data, videos, and photos.
Leap into Full HD action with NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card with 8GB of GDDR5X video memory, driven by NVIDIA Pascal architecture. This gaming platform is VR ready, and you can plug in a VR headset to step into a new world. With Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi MB5 with EAX 5.0 surround sound, the ability to clearly hear specific sounds in a gaming environment are just a few elements that will enhance the overall experience. An audio control interface lets you customize the audio settings to your liking. After the fight, relax and pop your favorite movie into the DVD drive. The onboard HDMI port lets you expand this experience on your home-theater setup.

Windows 10 Home Features

Start Menu
After its hiatus in Windows 8, the Start Menu has returned. Utilizing a combination of the traditional menu system and Windows 8's Live Tiles, the improved Start Menu gives you more information at a glance, showing notification information alongside your applications and other pinned items.
Microsoft's digital personal assistant, Cortana can answer your questions with information gleaned from both your device and the internet at large. You can type or even talk with her, if your system has a microphone. Using her Notebook, Cortana keeps track of your needs and wants, and she learns over time to improve her information gathering skills.
Microsoft Edge
After nearly 20 years, Microsoft has finally replaced its Internet Explorer web browser. With Microsoft Edge, users can write directly on web pages and share notes with friends and colleagues. It also improves the online reading experience by adding a distraction-free mode and read-it-later functionality. Edge also has built-in Cortana integration; you can have her help you find a restaurant, make a reservation, and pull up directions without leaving your browser.
Windows Store
For Windows 10, Microsoft has unified the Windows Store. Now, apps for PCs, tablets, and phones will all be accessible from one place. And with support for Universal Apps, one version of an app can work across all your compatible devices automatically.
Windows Continuum
Windows 10 was designed for a variety of screen sizes and input styles, and with its Continuum feature, it automatically adapts to fit your needs. A Windows 10 tablet on its own requires a touch-centric approach, but attaching a mouse and keyboard will shift everything to a more traditional interface. You can even attach an external monitor to your Windows 10 phone for a near-desktop experience. But it's not just the operating system; Windows Universal Apps take advantage of Continuum as well.
Xbox on Windows 10
Gaming is a big focus of Windows 10. Xbox integration allows for PC players to match up against Xbox One players on supported games, and if you have an Xbox One, you can even stream compatible titles to your PC. Native support for recording with the new Game DVR feature makes it easy to capture and share your gameplay. The new DirectX12 takes better advantage of multi-core processors, giving games a performance boost, even on older hardware. Windows 10 also features native support for virtual reality headsets, such as the Oculus Rift.
