Spanning a versatile zoom range from wide-angle to portrait-length, the black M.Zuiko Digital 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 II R from Olympus is a 28-84mm equivalent lens for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras. The optical design uses three aspherical elements to correct for distortion and spherical aberration, in order to achieve notable sharpness and clarity, and these elements help to retain a compact and lightweight form factor. Additionally, the lens also features a Movie & Still Compatible (MSC) autofocus system, which provides fast and near-silent focusing performance to benefit both video and photo applications.

price quality
a lens for a blackmagic i like how it behaves with my camera
Does The Trick
I used this lens with my Pen 6 for over a year now. It was part of a kit purchased at B&H. Overall, it is a good lens that does its job. I like its light compact size for a short zoom, which is great for street photography. I also use it for my fine art work as well. In fact, I use this lens for the bulk of my shooting with the Pen 6. My only issue with the lens are that I wish it was faster (f/3.5 would do)-especially when working in lower light. Overall, this is a decent lens for the money.
A gem
A great lens for the price. Just got it recently and it's been good so far. Sharp and made my camera more manejable as this lens is low weight and is small in size. I cannot comment much on the durability as I got it a bit over a week ago. It doesn't seem as sturdy as the Pana 14-140mm but it still seems well made. So far very happy with it.
Excelente producto!!
Idea para video, no es un lente muy luminoso para la noche, pero a plena luz del da es excelente. Funciona muy bien.
Great resolution BUT!!!
A three because the lens performed well. Really I bought two of those lenses with E-Pl3 bodies and in less than a year I received Lens error messages. None works on either camera. Luckily I purchased a 40-150 lens. I cannot recommend that lens for durability. Because I have 2 bodies I am wondering if i should purchase another or a fixed focus. I need a lens to cover the wider focal lengths.
Replacement lens
Old lens would no longer focus correctly. This new lens solved all the problems.
flimsy I broke mine
Its ok for a kit lens in one of those bundles where you pay 100$ extra (vs the body alone) and get the lens with body for a standalone just get the pancake version its got a metal ring more or less the same specs and is practical for vacations so people don't see your large lens sticking out showing everyone you have a real camera not just a point and shoot.
Terrific little lens
I find it extremely useful and capable on my PenF
