The RedEye Filter for FP7000 / FP7100 / FG15 Underwater Housing from Fantasea Line is a red color correction filter for the FP7000, FP7100 and FG15 housings for the Nikon Coolpix P7000, Nikon Coolpix P7100 and Canon PowerShot G15 cameras, respectively. It fits directly over the housing lens port or can be installed in the dedicated slot of the BigEye Lens F Series #5136 or the EyeDaptor F Series-F67 #4702 (with any lens accessory mounted on the adaptor), both from Fantasea Line. The filter can be installed and removed during the course of the dive. Since the ocean acts as one large, blue filter, red tones turn into muted shades of blue and grey as you descend further underwater. This filter helps to restore the red color absorbed by the water and allows your camera to produce vivid and colorful underwater images and videos. In shallow depths, this filter can serve as an attractive alternative to artificial light sources.

    RedEye Filter for FP7000 / FP7100 / FG15 Underwater Housing is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Buy I tried taking underwater photos with the Canon Powershot G16 with this filter, and without this filter. The images taken WITHOUT the filter were impossible to color correct (taken at 60 ft deep, 50 foot visibility in the Gulf - which is more green than blue, granted) for skin tones. The images taken WITH the filter yielded good results in achieving correct skins tones in the same conditions as above, but still needed some adjustments. I think this is because it was a red filter, and not a magenta filter, which would have been more appropriate for the waters we were in. Regardless, I'm still happy I bought it for SCUBA photos - a test in the shallow end of a pool (3-6 ft) revealed the filter was too strong for aforementioned conditions, but still better than without a filter at all.
