    ImageMate All-in-One USB 3.1 Gen 1 Reader / Writer is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 281.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sad and angry This model has big problems. In 2013 I changed four times this Sandisk card reader. One reader I threw it in the trash. Problem: broken pin for CF. Changed twice a SanDisk card reader for 7 days. Problem: a broken and bent pin in the CF slot. I bought a fourth Sandisk card reader this year, he again does not work. Problem: does not recognize the SD card (hc, 16 GB). All my life I've used Sandisk cards and SanDisk card reader without any problems. Gentlemen engineers, what is this now? Be serious and solve this problem or I have to stop buying your products! (heavy heart). Gotdan Ukic

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Most disappointing bit of kit ever... And I buy lots of gear! This piece of junk stopped working shortly after I bought it. I usually don't have time to write reviews but I thought people should know about this. My house mate is a photographer too and he said they went though a bunch of them that didn't work when he was working on a job at Sun Studios in Melbourne, Australia. So for the past 6 months (when not shooting to the laptop) I've been using my USB 2 card reader or borrowing one from someone at my studio. I haven't tried to return it because I'm in Australia and I thought it would take up too much of my time. Stay well away form this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid This card reader is fast and fairly consistent. Lots of options for cards so sort of future proof. I hope it will work with the next generation of CF cards...I'm sure the next CF cards will work in this (at CF speeds of course). The Reader with the stand looks nice on my desk. Doesn't take up much real-estate on my desk either. The magnet is a little weak on the stand, but figure I'll be picking up the reader to insert cards so not too concerned. I have been having problems with one of my SDHC cards and this reader, to my surprise, was NOT able to read the card. I don't blame the reader though. The price on this is good too.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product failed in the first 2 weeks I bought 2 of these for a photographic trip to Africa and both were fast in the beginning when they worked, but the CF slots quit functioning on both during the 2 weeks when the wires at one end bent on both. One other member of the group had the same reader which also failed during the 2 week trip. When they worked in the beginning they were fine, but even with a backup I was unable to up load the CF files at the end of the trip. I would not recommend this and I believe SanDisk has some work to do on the basic design to keep these functional. Dennis Stone

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fast but with huge design flaws. This reader has fast transfer speeds and a decent pricing but after using it a while you will realise there are some huge design flaws, I almost broke the CF readers pins twice and had to take it to a professional to fix it, barely though.... After reading all the reviews I felt I had to comment about this product. So the CF readers slot is not exactly the size of the card it self making it almost impossible to insert the card correctly, this little mistake in design ruins the whole product, not recommended at all especially if you transfer alot of data with CF. I didnt really have a problem with the stand design but the cable is definetly to stiff for the reader to stand up firmly since it weights less than the cable. I guess ill keep using it until one day those pins will break off, lol.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from every extra bit of speed counts The SanDisk ImageMate all in one USB 3.0 reader added a significant nudge of transfer speed, but probably not all its capable of because my work station now lags behind it. I am sure my rating would jump to 5 star if I had a 3.0 interface. My Sony VAIO with windows seven, but a 2.0 interface can't benefit fully from the ImageMate, however any gain in the world of digital traffic control is worth it. My primary source of flash memory is SanDisk 4gb UDMA extreme CF cards, always full of raw/jpeg combination saves. I would recommend this product to anyone who appreciates the reliabiliy of SanDisk products and needs extra speed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Card Reader Yet. I was a bit skeptical to get this at first since I only have usb 2.0 on my Macs (haven't upgraded yet). But it turns out that the transfer speed on this card reader is pretty fast. I am using Extreme CF Cards and SD cards. I can transfer 8GB data in about 2-3mins tops. My old Sandisk USB 2.0 card reader transfers about the same data in about 6-8mins. This card reader has a great and solid build to it, and it doesn't feel plasticky. It also includes a stand which is pretty helpful. And it has and ample length on the cable. The only problem I have with it is the fact that it has a glossy surface, which would be prone to scratches. But still, it wouldn't really affect the function of the card reader.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fast and Reliable This card reader is great. Works seamlessly with my macbook pro, so well in fact that I notice which of my memory cards are faster/slower now, rather than thinking they're all the same because of my older slow card readers. USB 3.0 RULES. The build is plastic, and sometimes my CF card doesn't line up properly causing some of the prongs in the reader to bend out of place and become useless. I used a toothpick and bent them back and all was fine in minutes. I'm rough on my equipment, but I feel it should be able to withstand general use. Overall a great buy for the price.
