  • DisplayPort (DP) Input/Output
  • Works for DVI/VGA/HDMI/MDP via Adapter
  • Max Resolution Per Monitor: 1920 x 1080
The TripleHead2Go DP Edition External GXM from Matrox is an external Graphics eXpansion Module that lets you drive 3 displays, each at up to 1920 x 1080 resolution, from a single DisplayPort (DP) connector. This allows you to drive 3 displays from a laptop or from a desktop that only has one DisplayPort. You can also drive the 3 displays at 1680 x 1050 resolution each, or you can drive just 2 at 1920 x 1200 resolution each. The module allows you to drive displays using DVI, VGA, HDMI and Mini-DP outputs, provided you have the required adapter cables (not included). You can even connect a second TripleHead2Go to your graphics hardware to support up to 6 monitors at a time!

The module uses your system's existing GPU to provide high-quality, uncompressed graphics and video across all monitors. You can run different applications on each display or view one application across multiple monitors. A multi monitor set-up allows you to organize your workspace more efficiently, multi-task more comfortably and make fewer mistakes. Compatible with both Mac and PC, a wide variety of graphics cards, and most chipsets by ATI, Intel and nVIDIA, the TripleHead2Go DP Edition is a great way to quickly and easily add triple monitor capability to a notebook or desktop PC.

Increased Productivity
A triple monitor configuration can help enhance productivity when working. You'll find it much easier to work with multiple documents and windows at the same time, allowing you to more effectively multitask.
Surround Gaming
Using 3 displays for computer gaming can create a more immersive experience. A "surround vision" can create a panoramic effect that makes computer game playing more like a widescreen movie. This increased field of view lets you see more of the game environment. Many popular games support this configuration.
Bundled Management Software
Includes Matrox PowerDesk software to easily manage your desktop configuration. Includes Matrox Monitor Bezel Management (Windows only), designed to enhance gaming environments by converting 3 seemingly disjointed images into 1 continuous image, enhancing the surround gaming experience. Matrox Clone Mode is available for viewing a copy of one display on the other displays.
Versatile Performance
The TripleHead2Go can be used with a notebook or desktop computer with a DisplayPort. You'll be able to add 3 independent displays to your laptop or desktop from its monitor output. Your computer screen can be displayed on three 1920 x 1080 monitors via DP output for an impressive 5760 x 1080 resolution. Or, you can display your screen on just two 1920 x 1200 monitors via DP, for a total resolution of 3840 x 1200. You can drive HDMI and MDP monitors, as well (cables required), at a maximum resolution of 5040 x 1050 (3x 1680 x 1050).
Multi-GXM Support
Want to go further? Expand your desktop even more and connect a second TripleHead2Go to your graphics hardware to support up to 6 monitors at a time! Just combine both units to a dual output graphics card and take advantage of the increased desktop space. Please note: Multiple GXMs are supported under Windows only and GXM software suite 2.06 or above is required. GXMs must be of the same make and model.
Portable Design
You can fit the TripleHead2Go in the palm of your hand. This allows you to take it where your notebook goes, giving you the ability to take advantage of triple-monitor displays wherever you have access to them.
Painless Installation
Quick and easy to install; there's no need to open the computer case or insert components.
Easy Access
Spans taskbar across monitors for easy access to all your open applications.
Wide Compatibility
The device works with LCDs, CRTs and projectors. It's compatible with both PC and Mac computers, as well as a wide range of notebook and desktop video cards. It supports most graphics chipsets by ATI, Intel and nVIDIA.

Solid

This is a solid product, but with a few gotchas. Firstly, it is very dependant on the output resolutions of your graphics card. I have run into issues with progressive vs interlaced, inability to run 1920x1080 on the outputs, etc. This isn't really Matrox's fault, but is something that can get annoying when using this product. Secondly, the PowerDesk software is quite buggy. I typically skip 'Quick Setup', and go direct to 'EDID Management' to pick the exact settings I want. However, once you've got it working it's pretty reliable and does the job.

Works OOTB w/Limitations

I'm using the TH2G to drive multiple Dell 23.8 IPS U2419HX monitors using a Panasonic Toughbook CF-19 Mk7 running openSUSE Leap 15. The good is plugged everything in and all the monitors got signal. Limitations from the Toughbook side is the only video output is one VGA port so resolution is on the low side. Limitations from the TH2G side are there is no Linux support so no using the Powerdesk software. Also TH2G cannot tell if there are less than three monitors connected, what if does it is stretches one desktop across three screens. That's it. All that being said, it's a workable solution for my use, which is displaying different things on all monitors. I just have to resize the application and drag n drop it to the monitor I want it on. It is more or less plug n play, so I don't have to contend with the worse limitations of the other options.

This is a great product. Ive been trying to get 3 external displays for my late 2013 macbook pro (Intel Iris gpu) and was starting to think it just wasnt possible. This device worked write out of the box and I am now using three 21 monitors at the same time with different content on each screen. Thanks to B&H support for steering me to this product

The TripleHead2Go device is very nice to expand a flight simulator image out over three screens. This makes for a larger view and a much more realistic flying experience. The box is easy to install and works fantastically.

Very good and easy to install.

can i connect this unit to dell xps 15 only via thunderbolt? No display port on this system.
Asked by: Raymond
It depends if you have Thunderbolt 3 or 2. If you have Thunderbolt 2, you can use a mini displayport to displayport cable that comes in the box. However, if your port is Thunderbolt 3, then you need a dock such as https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1434940-REG/caldigit_500370_thunderbolt_3_mini_dock.html because there is no cable that is Thunderbolt 3 to Displayport.

question

I have an alienware 17 r3. it has an hdmi out and a usb c (thunderbolt 3) out. Can i connect to TripleHead2Go DP Edition (T2G-DP-MIF)? would i need a usb-c to display port adapter to do the same?
Asked by: Samvida N.
i have tried to connect it through the HDMI it didn't work because the idea of most of the cables are DISPLAYPORT TO HDMI and not HDMI TO DISPLAYPORT and the HDMI signal needs power, but still there is a display port in the alienware 17 r3 you can connect it through it.there could be a solution but i didn't try it yet, there are few cables from HDMI to DISPLAYPORT LIKE StarTech HDMI or DVI to DisplayPort Active Converter IT MIGHT BE WORK

question

can you buy adapters for Hdmi and have 3 screens run from a laptop with an hdmi pot at full 1080p. WIll that work using this to run full 1080 p to 3 screens with adapters?
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, you can purchase adapters for DisplayPort to HDMI. I would recommend the StarTech adapters (search B&H for DP2HDMI2). However, the maximum 16x9 HD resolution at 60Hz you can get when using three (3) outputs is 1280x720. If you are using 50Hz, then you can accomplish the 1920x1080 resolution you listed. You can see a list of supported resolutions by Matrox on Matrox's website.Note: HDMI is not supported configuration by Matrox, only VGA and DVI, so if you choose to use HDMI, you basically run the risk of it not working. The main issue is that HDCP (High Definition Content Protection) comes into play with computers.

question

Does this product work with a laptop that has thunderbold/mini display port as the source?
Asked by: Anonymous
I use this with my MacBook pro with thunderbolt output. I was not able to ever get all 3 monitors to work on the outputs, but that could be the adapters and specific monitors i was using. I am able to use it with 2 monitors.
