Ring Flash Kit is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sketchy But Workable They say you can put it all together in the time it takes to make a cup of coffee, but in reality it'll take about 45-minutes. The problem I had was trying to get it to work with a Vivitar 285HV, which their manual say it will. Instead of fitting around the flash head it fits inside, with some gaff tape. Light quality is quite good for what it is. After you figure out it's quirky assembly the modifier is quite good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Deal to Get Ring Flash Effect! I was one of the first people in the world to buy one of these. Very clever design. I wasn't sure how much I was going to use it, but I got it because I thought it seemed cool. Now I'm using it as fill for about 50% of my shots. I love the quality of light it puts out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from QUICK & EASY You definitely get what you pay for. It's not rugged, but for the price you can always afford to replace it. I definitely love the light it produces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great introduction to ring flash! This is a great way to get introduced to ring flash. It took me about 30 minutes total to get the system setup and fitting my 600ex-rt flash as the head on the flash is bigger than the opening. It is a bit big and cumbersome to move around but it does what it needs to do. I have to play with the power setting and the zoom setting on the flash more to get an even light around the subject but haven't had a lot of time to play with it after the first day. I also like how now the product has some of your own elbow grease in it. Makes it feel like you are actually part of the creation process even more! Highly recommended if this is your first time using a ring flash because then you can decide if stepping up to other models would be worth the extra money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ring flash frenzy I wanted to take ring flash shots on the cheap. This thing actually works. Attach a ttl cord between the camera and the flash and presto....ttl flash. The box structure is flimsy but for the price I guess that's what's to be expected. I'd love to see a proper plastic unit that I wasn't worried about crushing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from surprisingly good. I actually thought this would be more flimsy than it was. It will never be as solid as a orbis but is 1/10th the price. I put it together in less than the time photoshop took to stitch a panorama!I did make a few changes though, I added heavy duty permeant double sided tape to the joins to make them more solid. also instead of bothering with the bracket i got a cheap stofen style diffuser that fitted my flash, cut out the end and then taped it where the flash is supposed to go. this means i can easily take the flash on and off by just pushing it, not having to bother with velcro and rubber bands. It also is a more rigid connection to the flash and makes the entire thing stronger when not attached to the flash. It would be 5* if the kit came with double sided tape. I am intending to use mainly for fill flash in multi light setups and as a little handheld 'soft box' not on camera axis. It does give a nice soft light for both of these purposes in addition to the classic bug eyed ring flash look.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the trick This is a devilishly simple device. A piece of cardboard, and a piece of plastic. And some folding. That's it.It works quite well, especially considering the price/effort.And it really only takes about 5 minutes to assemble. All it really takes is folding the cardboard on the lines provided, and taping it together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great intro to ring flash photography. Super useful. You'd be better off with a powered ring flash, but you'd also be paying at least ten times as much. Works great mounted on a light stand as well.
