This pair of medium black Women's Stretch Thinsulate Gloves from Freehands are designed to be used when photographing outdoors in cold weather. The gloves have a waterproof and windproof backing and are lined with Thinsulate to keep you warm in the winter while being lightweight enough to wear in milder weather.

When photographing in cold weather you can open the finger tips so that you can more easily access small buttons on your camera, which might be difficult to access if you were wearing normal gloves. When you need to access buttons on your camera, simply pull back the thumb and forefinger tips of the gloves to reveal your fingers. The tips are secured in place by magnets until you are ready to cover your fingers again. The palm patch features a silicon grip to prevent your camera from slipping. The gloves are designed to fit snugly so you can hold and operate your camera easily. For a looser fit, order the next size up.

Women's Stretch Thinsulate Gloves (Medium, Black) is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 44.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not great for wildlife photography I bought these gloves for wildlife, especially bird, photography and I feel that they are not well suited for that activity. I find them bulky and stiff and any movement results in a soft rustling sound which is not terrific when you are trying not to draw attention to yourself. They are probably fine for activities that don't require stealth and a high degree of manual dexterity. They are warm and thick and I've been using them for dog-walking and other outdoor activities. I also feel that they run small. I generally wear size small but that size was too tight on me. Fortunately, B&H was helpful in exchanging them for a medium.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great concept but... I used them for the first time this past week in Lake Tahoe. It was probably only in the low 40's and my forefinger and thumb were freezing. When you pull back the forefinger flap it's a little tight around the opening on your finger, consequently that means there is little blood flowing to your poor finger which in turn your finger is almost frozen after just a few minutes. I have small hands and I had purchased the medium size so I don't think I ordered the wrong size. Other than that the rest of your hands stay nice and toasty. I will probably not use them again and purchase glove liners with regular cold weather mittens.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Women's Stretch Gloves (Medium, Black) Pros: These gloves are beautifully made. The retractable finger tips are well designed with a secure magnet. Cons: The gloves run small and the finger length is too short which restricts flexibility. I have a small hand and had to exchange the Small for a Medium. The Medium is a little big in the width and the finger length is still short. The gloves are expensive and I had to pay the cost to exchange the size. At this point, I will keep the medium gloves, but I would recommend an in store purchase where you can try the gloves on for proper fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm a man, but I bought these I'm a guy. I was at the NYC B&H store and I didn't buy these women's gloves by accident. There was a rebate for this item when I was there for vacation so I went to this NYC attraction and decided to make a purchase as an experience. The staff there was so nice, guided me to pick the best pair of gloves I needed and since I have very small hands I ended up with these. My thumb is a little short but overall it fitted my hands really well and let me endure the cold weather in NYC with my hands holding the camera the whole time. I did not miss a single shot! I love these gloves! The material on the palm allow me to grab my camera firmly. The two open finger design let me access button on my camera. It blocks the wind pretty well too. The only thing I dislike: comparing to wool gloves and other typical gloves, these are not very warm.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Take care in sizing I bought these to shoot in the winter, clearly. I'm an active lady with usually size medium hands, but these gloves were tight! I would have bought a large if I knew. Other than that I like them. The construction seems strong and I like the little magnets that hold the finger tips when not in use. They feel good enough I hope I don't lose them, but not precious enough if I do.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice gloves...order 1 size larger I ordered a Med. but the palm area didn't quite cover my hand and the magnet on my index finger hurt my knuckle...thinking maybe the magnet is in the wrong place because the glove is a bit small. I went to the mfg site and it says the gloves fit snug and if you want more room order 1 size larger...unfortunately I didnt visit the mfg site until after I received the gloves. Waiting for the replacement gloves to arrive. Overall quality seems good and they feel warm enough for my area weather. I could use a glove liner if I needed more warmth for my fingers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect hand exposure for perfectly exposed cold shots These gloves are fabulous for those shots on a cold day when you don't want to have to remove your whole glove to make any adjustments on camera dials. One of the best features is the magnets on the fingers that open, to hold the flap back and out of the way. Be aware that even if you think you have a small hand, the finger length isn't that long, so you will likely need a medium - the size seems to run small.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Idea but Falls Short I purchased these while visitng B&H in NYC and they seemed like a great idea with it being so cold outside. I quickly found out that they were warm EXCEPT for where the thumb and index finger were covered. It's a very thin layer of material, so even covered my fingers got cold. I may have kept them, except they were also very stiff. I like the idea of the grip on the glove, but it also covers the back so they were pretty stiff and hard to manage. It's a great idea, but fell a little short for me, so I took them back while still in NYC.
