Used it couple hours per week to record sermons at church. One month after warranty expired, it stopped working. Not sure if it shorted-out or something, but it's definitely not the phone or the microphone. Disappointed since it wasn't exactly inexpensive.

Worked great until just after the warranty expired. Now it can't make a good connection to either of the phones I tried recording with - nothing but static.

Dose Not work with Mac book pro

I bought this because it was advertised as a TRRS adapter , it works with iPhone and iPad but it does not work with Mac book laptop computers , funny thing is the mac book has the same TRRS connector so it should act the same way , on closer inspection it's missing one of the connection rings it should have 4 to be a true TRRS device it has 3 .

Sescom has always been the way to go for odd interfaces ,or some kind of means to the way. The TRRS To XLR is no exception. The use of heat shrink and quality hardware make these cables last. Add these to B And H GREAT customer service and you have a WIN WIN.

Works as advertised, no issues.

Comes in real handy for field reporting with iPhone. Doesn't work with some other smart phones.

I want to connect this to the LiveU Smartphone ...

I want to connect this to the LiveU Smartphone APP. Connect a Microphone and connect Headphones to listen to the IFB coming out of the APP. Do you think this is possible?
Asked by: Lisa
If the app would work with ear buds and its mic, it should work with this cable. Note: you must use a dynamic mic with this break-out cable. It does not pass phantom power for condensers. Use a dynamic with highest output possible. I recommend getting a TRRS extension cable to use with it especially if the iPhone is in a protective case.

question

is compatible with samsung galaxy s5?
Asked by: Andres P.
No, that cable is not compatible. For Samsung phones you should use the DROID-ADAPT-1. here is the url:http://www.sescom.com/product.asp?item=DROID-ADAPT-1&DROID-ADAPT-1
