    HP CR664A reviews

Premium Plus Photo Paper, Glossy (50 Sheets, 8.5 x 11") is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worse Purchase Ever I scrapbook for 6 grandchildren and therefore use a LOT of photopaper. Up until recently I have been really happy with the pictures I had printed for their books. Then HP decided to change their premium photo paper and the pictures I now print are not as colorful and have a "hazy" look to them. I tried the "advanced" program and there really isn't that much difference. I called HP and was told in a "chat" that no change had been made to the paper, but that isn't true. The weight, feel and quality is VERY different. I have an HP photosmart D7360 printer and until I started using the black boxed photo paper was getting GREAT prints. I am truly sorry that HP felt it necessary to make changes in an already good product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product's performance has been lowered I have been using HP Premium Plus Photo Paper (usually glossy) for nearly 10 years for printing photography works for sell at galleries and shops, and up until this 300 g/m2 "instant dry" product was introduced the tonal quality and richness has been superb. HP has made a bad business decision to take the former off the market, as this replacement meets none of our standards for museum quality work. I will not recommend this product for this use, and will continue my search for a suitable replacement, and right now HP has no paper I will consider as suitable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Why did you destroy a good product? For years I have used your Premium Plus Photo Paper....High Gloss.Product# Q6568A. Recently I haven't been able to find it in any Office Supply Store? The product that is being sold instead is Premium Plus Photo Paper.....Glossy Product # CR664A. It's as bad as the Kodak paper they sell !!!! Only good I suppose for Amateurs. Not professionals who have come to rely on your original HP paper.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Poor Product The changes made to the HP Premium Plus Photo paper are just plain bad. The company took an excellent photograph print paper and reformulated it to a substandard product. Gone is the wonderful heavy weight of the former paper, gone is the wonderful "nubby' backing and gone is the wonderful print surface. All that is left is the price. The product does not perform but the price was not reduced. i returned my full order and I will not purchase this product again. Until the changes, I used this product alnmost daily for three years.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT as good as the previous Premium Plus I've used HP Photosmart printers for the past 12 years and Premium Plus Glossy was my main paper. Over the years I've seen it improve considerably. The incarnation prior to this product was the best. Images were vibrant, clean and consistent. I stuck with HP printers because this paper was so good and easy to use to get great looking prints. But this new and improved product is terrible. Prints come out with a grey and milky plastic veil. While they dry down to look better, the image doesn't have the vibrancy or contrast of the previous paper. Images are weak and wimpy with hardly any blacks. Gone is the textured back that gave the paper substance--this stuff feels like a sheet of thin plastic. By making the image darker and pumping up the contrast and then increasing the ink volume when printing, the results can be improved enough to be considered acceptable at best. But it never gets to the level of quality I was able to achieve with the paper it replaced. This is not an improvement.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not good I too think that the new 300 g/m photo paper has lost it's quality compared to the old. Does any one have an idea of what is better?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This new paper is below standard The old premium plus -High Gloss paper was superior in every way including weight and color was vibrant. I will need to go to another brand now. I have been buying HP ink and photo paper for last 15-20 years and their prices have gone up and the quality has gone down.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Quality This "new and improved" paper does not hold up to the old paper. The photos printed are poor in color and quality. Will look for a suitable replacement. Bad move HP to replace the old product.
