    Sony DWT-P01 reviews

    DWT-P01 Digital Plug-in Transmitter is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Needed a transmitter to work with my drop in Sony Reciver The trickiest thing about using this transmitter is learning how to pair it with your receiver. you must have one of the receivers that it will function with for it uses DWT technology that is a Sony invention. I have an older DWR-S01D, which is discontinued. Sony replaced this unit with the DWR-S02D. Check the device list that the DWT-P01 works with before you purchase. The quick way to pair the plug-in transmitter is to turn the unit on, and scroll down to RF Remote and change the setting to Pairing. Then on the receiver, hold down the minus button on the side you want the transmitter to pair with. It will find the transmitter, and the you press set on the reciever, and the units are paired. Run a clerk frequency scan on the reciver, and then you can transmit the frequency it has chosen to the transmitter and you are good to go. The only down side of this setup is that you can only pair one transmitter to a side of your receiver, so if you want to use a Sony body transmitter for lavs, you have to do the pairing process all over again for that side of the transmitter. It is a solid - well built device. It uses the same AA battery sleds as my DWT-B01, which is a plus. Another plus is the 48v phantom so I can use a shotgun mike.
