The Bebob Engineering A140RM High-Draw Gold Mount Battery with Reversible D-Tap is part of their Rouge series of batteries and features Sanyo cells. It provides 14.8 VDC and a capacity of 135 Wh/9 Ah. It can survive a fall up to 5’ and is compatible with third party chargers as well as chargers from Bebob Engineering. The battery can sustain a maximum load of 12A without damage.
With the 5-LED power status display, you can view the amount of charge left on the battery, and it incorporates a warning LED that indicates when the battery can no longer charge to at least 80% of its original capacity. The battery features a 3-pin D-tap socket that allows you to use any standard D-tap plug in one of two orientations. The battery includes a rubber plug to cover the D-tap socket.
The D-tap connector features a three-pin design that places the positive in the middle with a return on either side. This allows you to orient your D-tap plug with a 180° offset, so you can feed the wire to power accessories on either side of your camera. This lessens stress on your cable and plug, minimizing the all too frequent worn-plug syndrome, where your plug and socket wear out allowing you to plug your D-tap connector into the socket with polarity reversed. An included detachable rubber cover will make the plug impervious to rain when there is no D-Tap connector attached.
The battery is built to survive the rigors of everyday production and can survive a fall up to 5'.
It features a Gold Mount design and is compatible with third-party and Bebob chargers.
The battery can handle high current draw of up to 12 amps without damage.
5-LED power status display allows you to view the amount of charge left on the battery; battery remaining information shows up in many camera's viewfinders.
A blinking LED indicator light activates when the battery can no longer retain a charge above 80% of its original capacity.
