The AverMedia NEH1004HN Hybrid DVR (4 Channels) records as well as plays back videos at the same time, and allows several independent users to remotely view content. It runs on the Embedded Linux operating system. The DVR allows each of its 4 channels to be connected to either an analog or an IP camera, and supports more than 50 brands of IP cameras.
Resolution/frame rates can be individually adjusted for all analog channels. H.264 compression helps reduce video file sizes without compromising on the quality and integrity of images. In addition, the DVR uses Hardware Compression that helps improve speed and efficiency by using minimal CPU and RAM resources. The NEH1004HN Hybrid DVR comes with an easy-to-understand interface that helps reduce training time and comes with multi-language support. Moreover, the interface allows simple point-and-click access for viewing live video recordings and searching for previously set alarms, and can be easily integrated with a virtual on-screen keyboard. Several devices such as Windows Mobile, iPhone, Blackberry, laptops, and remote computers can be used to view video via an internet connection.
Allowing you to exclude certain spaces within a selected area from triggering motion based recordings, the NEH1004HN Hybrid DVR helps save storage space. The smart recording features provide multiple event responses and POS text overlaid on video, saving storage space while recording continuously. Certain important parts of a video can also be bookmarked for later viewing. The NEH1004HN Hybrid DVR allows you to search for video using parameters, and generates a date, time, and event log file for easy reference. With time search, you can browse through the video by moments. The DVR supports up to 8 E-maps (.jpg or .bmp) and allows you to drag and drop DVR/NVR locations (icons) on the E-maps. Tasks such as recording, rebooting, and enabling of network activity can be scheduled to be carried out either as a one-time task or as a recurring weekly task.
The iEnhance feature helps manipulate light, noise and color in the videos and the iStable feature smoothes out shaking and jolts. There are 2 types of de-interlace methods for analog cameras that are optimized for static or dynamic scenes, and help deliver smoother images. The NEH1004HN Hybrid DVR allows alarms to be set to inform of unit events (DVR HDD fail, video loss, DVR reboot, etc.), monitoring events (Motion, Sensor), and network events (connection loss/success).Up to 32 user accounts can be managed by the NEH1004HN Hybrid DVR, with each account having its own password and user privileges (operation, control, and remote access). In case of network failure and video loss, the system will continually try to reconnect to the DVR until video is restored. Images and videos can be exported to the .jpg and .dvr formats respectively. Backup data can be stored in either a USB, external HDD, or RAID enabled device.
