The black and white 7x50 Nautic BN C Binocular from Minox combines fully multicoated glass elements with an analog compass and rangefinder reticle to create a well-equipped tool for marine navigation and observation. To prepare the Nautic binocular for use on the water or in the rain, its housing is nitrogen-filled for fogproof performance, and it is also buoyant and submersible.
An integrated compass and reticle provide the Nautic with a range of functions that set this binocular apart from other optics. Unlike a digital compass, this binocular's analog one is not influenced by electrostatic fields, and doesn't require calibration. Compass bearings are displayed in degrees at the bottom of the field of view, and the display window can be illuminated using a dedicated button on top of the binocular housing. The reticle has mil-style hash marks on both axes and can be use to help the observer determine approximate distance to, or size of, an object.
Minox's single-ocular focusing system enables focus-free performance that is ideal for intermediate to long-range observations. Objects beyond a 23-foot distance will appear detailed and sharp without need to refocus the ocular for views along the horizon. The ocular can also focus on subjects closer than 23 feet without sacrificing image quality or depth of field. This fixed-focus system is functional yet flexible enough to handle almost any application. Its Makrolon polycarbonate housing is impact, temperature and corrosion-resistant for use in all locations and conditions. A black and white non-slip rubber-armored exterior, fold-down eyecups, and tripod mount make the 7x50 Nautic a well-equipped binocular for a wide-range of outdoor adventures.
