question

What are the thread sizes for telescope and camera side?
Asked by: Anonymous
The Thread Output a T-thread size. Input is specific to the imported 115 and 130mm Series 6000 refractors, this item isnt compatible with anything else mechanically or optically.

question

Does it work also with a Meade Series5000 127ED APO Refractor ?
Asked by: Bruno M.
I was further investigating your question today and need to amend my answer if I may on the APO focal reducer. I contacted Meade, and they pulled the item from stock to check. Optically I think it would probably work but the issue will be mounting it in the first place. The threads on the reducer are made specifically for existing threads on our Series 6000 115 and 130mm scopes and there is no such thread on the Series 5000 at all. They are completely different. See attached photos of the reducer itself along with one showing it mounted to our Series 6000 scope which should make it more clear what I am describing.
