This Cable Release from Bower is a 10" cloth-coated cable that allows you to trigger your camera without actually pushing the shutter. This is beneficial for longer exposures because it reduces camera shake.

The cable features a standard conical thread that screws into the shutter release of compatible cameras. Additionally, it features a lock for long exposure photography. Cloth-coated cable releases are noted for being flexible even in cold conditions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Manual cable release I started shooting in the mid-80's with a Pentax K1000 and have crawled grudgingly into the digital age. I still shoot hard film for my nightwork and the Bower cable release is an essential. I prefer the 10 cable as it's long enough to keep my hands from shaking the camera but short enough that it's not dangling and tugging with the wind or accidentally getting nudged. When working with 30 second to 10 minute exposures, every little edge makes a difference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice I like this cable release. 10’ is short so you can’t stand far away from camera and use it, but it works for me. It’s really low profile, small and takes up far less space than even the smallest traditional plastic pad type release. (Oh, I forgot this IS the old traditional release.) Think about how long you want the cord and order accordingly. 10” flips around the camera and is easy to keep track of, and tucks in pocket or bag easily when not in use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sweet I use this with my Fuji XT2 when I need a steady shot on a tripod. It takes up no space, less than even a non-battery operated cable release. I got the 10" because I don't usually venture too far from my camera when I'm doing macro or landscape, and I wanted a minimalist solution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product Works great with my 4x5 camera. May take a few tries to get the pin to stay down when doing a long exposure, but this could be because it's new and I'm not used to it yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made with lock. Simple effective cable release with lock, that threads right in to my Fuji X-T2. Looks retro like the camera
