    Bower SFD885 reviews

SFD885C Digital Dedicated Twin Flash for Canon Cameras is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Floppy & not for 6D? I bought the flash at the same time I bought the Canon 6D. I am very disappointing with the following issues. Note that I do not have any issues if I use my old Canon 420 flash with the new camera 6D. 1) with the flash, the camera totally looses the white balance . The pictures came out VERY purple. Not sure what was the reasons. I tried with different white balance modes and found that the issue does not exist if I set the temperature (K white balance mode) 2) There is still another big issue. The flash is said E-TTL I/II compatible but it seems not to make any adjustment at all. The picture can be too dark if the object is far away or can be too bright if the object is close to the lense. I think it only emit the same every time. Probably it is compatible to E-TTL cameras but the flash is not E-TTL at all. For every scene, If I take time to try and adjust several times. I can create good pictures with the flash. However, it is not practical while shooting for a wedding. 3) the flash is very floppy and fragile. I brought it brand new and it is to be ready to break. I can see it made of cheap plastic.
