    Netgear WN3000RP reviews

WN3000RP Universal Wi-Fi Range Extender is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from You're using it wrong. It took me all of 2 mins to set this up. if both routers have the same name, and settings (easily accomplished in the setup wizard), their will be one network created. I know this because I only have one option for joining a network, and the dead spots in my house disappeared. the only drawback is the use of wireless printers. mine stopped working, for some reason. I reset it to have two networks set up (by renaming one of the routers). I just switch networks to print. if you have the money to dole out, look into a package deal that has a base router and booster/extender all in one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from so easy we just switched cable companies and they installed a whole house wifi rotor. our house has two stories with my office being upstairs. the system that they installed also had acess point for the TV, which was interfering with my wifi upstairs. I tried a few other things and none worked. I read about this wifi extender and found it on B&H's site. purchasing it from them is always safe if it doesn't work I knew I would be able to return it. it was virtually a plug and play. it worked from the beginning. my wifi is strong and I know longer have interference from the TV access point. I recommend this extender to all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from You have to enable WPS on modem-router If you have this connected to a modem-router read the user manual about how to log onto the modem-router. Find WPS and enable it. Press and hold the WPS button on the modem-router for ten seconds, then hold the WPS button on the range extender for ten seconds. Do this in the order called for in the range extender instructions. Both the range extender and the modem-router will have user manuals on-line.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Strong signal I do love this product. I originally bought this product for an XBOX 360 but since that got sold off and replaced with a computer, I have been using it for that ever since. It has a great signal range. My router is upstairs directly above my extender, so the extender is able to pick it up and amplify it enough into my room to give a full satellite charge. The only thing I don't like about it is that there is a microwave oven right next to it and whenever I run the microwave, it disrupts the signal through the extender. It knocks my internet out until the microwave is turned off. If anybody knows a way around this, . I would love to know how to make it to where it won't do this again. But other than that, this is a great product and I would highly recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well I did find it difficult to set up as WPS didn't work for me even though my router in a Netgear. I had to hardwire it to set it up. Contrary to another reviewers comment, it is a secure network (WPA2) although I had to log in to the extender's IP to set this up. Works very well have full wifi strength throughout the house.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a good solution Doesn't quite work as advertised. This creates a second wireless network that is not fully connected to your original network. For instance a laptop on the extension network can't be pinged or accessed from the original (router) network. It does have internet access, but without a seamless network this isn't very useful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from B&H...Go no further. Netgear's WN3000RP Universal Wi-Fi Range Extender is an excellent product. It was too easy to install and setup. I was able to boost my router signal so that every device is able to connect to the net. I would order more if I had the need. B&H is the best place to shop for all electronics hands down. They provide quick delivery and have an excellent (maybe the best) return policy as well. Good place, great staff.
