working with limited space, 8" shelf but has 12" depth & 4ft width. can these speakers be placed on their side and still work good? also does it come with anything to decouple the speakers from a tv stand/shelf?
It is not recommended but sure you can do that and they will still work good. The A5+ does not come with any attachments for a stand, they are made to sit on any flat surface.

Do they support Bluetooth?
The Audioengine A5+ does not support bluetooth. If you want to use them with bluetooth connectivity, then you will need a bluetooth receiver to connect to them like B&H # AUB1
