The Rokinon 24mm f/1.4 ED AS UMC Wide-Angle Lens for Canon gives you a wide 84° view when used with a full-frame 35mm camera, or 57.6° when used with an APS-C camera--excellent for landscapes, cramped interiors, street photography and general photography of all kinds. Four low-dispersion (ED) glass elements and two aspheric elements produce sharply defined images with a minimum of flare and ghosting. question

Regarding the quality issues, how do you test to make sure you got one of the good ones?
Asked by: Terry B.
One of the more common issues with this lens is a decentered element. While not perfect, a quick test can be performed without the need for expensive optical test equipment. Note - you cannot fix this yourself, but it may show you if the lens is optically performing as designed. You really should do this with any lens you buy and even periodically to make sure you haven't caused some damage.Sorry, this site won't let me include a link, so just google test for decentered lens

Is there any adapter to use this with full frame ...

Is there any adapter to use this with full frame Sony cameras like A7?
Asked by: ALBERTO
Yes, one can choose an adapter with no electronic communication at all, since the Rokinon lens is a totally manual lens with manual F stops and manual focus. https://bhpho.to/2Iy8KKc

question

I read that a lot of people complain about quality issues which makes me hesitant. The lens has a 1 year warranty. If I need to return it many times while still under warranty, like some people apparently did, am responsible for the shipping costs?
Asked by: christophe r.
Our Customer Service Department would cover the shipping costs if the item is defective or if it is lost/damaged in transit. Any other reason for return would leaving the shipping as the responsibility of the customer.

question

Would this lens be compatible with a Canon EOS M?
Asked by: Anonymous
The Rokinon 24mm f/1.4 ED AS UMC Wide-Angle Lens for Canon would not be directly compatible, as it uses the Canon EF lens mount, while the Canon EOS M Mirrorless Digital Camera uses the Canon EF-M lens mount. As such, the Canon EF-M Lens Adapter Kit for Canon EF / EF-S Lenses, B&H # CALA, would be needed to attach Canon EF lenses onto the Canon EOS M Mirrorless Digital Camera. The FotodioX Adapter for Canon EOS-Mount Lens to Canon EOS M-Mount Camera, B&H # FOPEOSMACEA, would also work for your needs.

question

Hi guys, I was wondering if the canon 6D will let you know if the image is in focus when you look through the viewfinder. I'm not quite sure how to explain this but when I use a canon lens in manual focus, the camera flashes one of the 11 focus points in the view finder red to tell me that particular point is in focus. As the Rokinon is only manual focus I was wondering if any of the focus points on the screen will indicate something is in focus. Please let me know if you understand the question or need further explanations. Thanks,Jassi
