The 8mm Ultra Wide Angle f/3.5 Fisheye Lens for Nikon w/Focus Confirm Chip from Rokinon gives you a dramatic 180° view with a greatly exaggerated perspective when used with an APS-C camera. If used with a full-frame digital or 35 mm film camera, a powerful circular image is produced, floating within the frame. Rokinon 8mm f/3.5 reviews

8mm Ultra Wide Angle f/3.5 Fisheye Lens for Nikon w/Focus Confirm Chip is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 81.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but focus problem The lens is excellent but only after I fixed the focus problem. As delivered the best focus for distance (infinity) was between 2 and 3 feet on the lens focus scale. I found a posting on the flickr website 8mm f/3.5 fisheye. It explained how to correct this problem which seems to be only in the Nikon mount lens. It is fairly simple if you are good with small tools. After fixing I am very satisfied with the lens. The focus confirm chip allows the auto exposure feature to work in my Nikon D5100. Once the focus problem was fixed I found the easiest way to focus is to use the scale. If you use a small aperture just about every thing will be in focus.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fish Eye for the amateur Always wanted a fish eye and finally one at a reasonable price range for an amateur. Using with D7000, I find the AE chip is nice and probably worth the extra, though I'm very much still manual in the early stages of using this lens. Physical heft and build is solid and the focal ring is very smooth. Included manual was terrible but internet forum discussions answered my questions. Much discussion online regarding factory production variation on the focal accuracy adjustment but I found no problems. For anyone who's always dreamed of owning a fish eye don't let the 3rd party brand scare you away on this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great buy! I am amazed by the quality for the price. Very nice lens. The only negative I have right now is that the lens mount is a bit tight to mount and dismount. The included instructions are a bit sparse and it took me a short time to figure out how best to use it. I am using it on a Nikon D7000 and I set the lens aperture to f/22 and it works fine in P, S, A or M; I mainly use Aperture priority. Very satisfied so far. I always wanted a fisheye lens but they are usually pricey. I bought this lens because of all the very positive reviews and it was on sale. I also want to put in a good word for B&H Photo-Video. I have bought here before and will do so again. I highly recommend them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This lens rocks! I bought this lens from B&H and it arrived in Australia for approx $350 (in fact 2 lenses - one for a friend). I had visited a local Camera shop and they could not sell me a fisheye for less than $800 (closer to $1100) so value for money is excellent. This lens is superb the focus is easy and the green dot with confirmation works well. The exposure will depend on your settings. This lens is also great for parties, make sure you have a flash that can reflect light off the ceiling, my SB-400 works well on the D3100 body. The fisheye is unique, it curves the image in the shape of an eye which is more functional than the ball image off most fisheye lens. I have 4 lenses in total and this is my favourite.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from i like it very much so i always thought fish eye lens would be a lot more expensive, but this wasn't. still figuring out how to use this. there's two rings on it. one, I have to turn all the way to the left for it to function on my camera. This ring cannot move. Don't know why. The other ring is suppose to be the focus ring. But it doesn't really focus the image. The image seems to be in focus no matter what i do. i turned it all the way to one end, took a picture, and then turned the focus ring all the way to the other end, and took a picture of the same subject from the same spot. images looked pretty darn similar. anyways, pictures are turning out great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a great lens! My wife bought me this lens for my birthday, and I have been using it like crazy. The FOV is amazing, and captures so much with each picture. Also, my wife and I noticed that the colors are much richer using this lens than my others. The Manual focus takes a little getting used to, but it is a fun and easy to use lens. I will recommend it to others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Lens This was a great addition to my bag. It's quite different from the array of lenses I have for my Nikon D7000. You can do some creative and fun stuff with it as in the examples I posted. It's light and durable and the chip allows you to take advantage of the camera's automatic features. I can shoot in P,A, S, and M modes and it even worked in the scene mode on the D7000. Exposures were perfect and it works well in low light at ISO 1600. It's well worth the extra $80 over the mo0del without the chip. The only negative is that the lens cap is difficult to re-attach since there are no markings. The attachment to the camera is very precice and tight. B&H service was great - I got this 3 days after ordering it and was able to shoot the lighted boats in our neighborhood over the holidays. It is a great value at $$.
