SanDisk 8GB Reviews

8GB Extreme Pro UHS-I SDHC U1 Memory Card (Class 10) is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 214.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Brand - Fast Card I tested the two I bought and they both worked. I probably won't be using them until May but I wanted to be ready (for a trip). I figured, for shooting RAW + jpg, 25 mb or more (Canon 60D), I would get a really fast card. Generally, from what I've read, Sandisk cards live up to their stats better than other brands. Also, I'de rather have 2 8gb than 1 16gb - just easier to work with when you move them to your computer and also less risky should you lose one. I'm sure I'll be satisfied with these cards. Regardless of the brand, I recommend backing up a card whenever possible on a trip (good size flash drive(s) or portable hard drive).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More change than I expected I purchased this card to replace my perfectly fine Sandisk Ultra card with 20mb/s speed on my Nikon D7000. I was having the problem of the camera buffer filling up when taking many rapid shots. I knew this card would be faster but I was surprised. It is a night and day difference. I can take pictures all day on continuous high speed shutter and it never slows down. It is definitely worth a little extra money to get this card. You will not be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always Reliable I probably have a dozen different SanDisk memory cards and I've never had a problem with any of them (knock on wood). I was told years ago that SanDisk does a quality check on every card they make but not all manufacturers do that. I always do a read/write test on the card when I first get a new card. This card tested at the max speed for my card reader (without UHS). I use the card with my Pentax K-5 camera. I could order a bigger card, but I don't want to put too many pictures on one card, just in case...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Typical San Disk Quality I have a half a dozen or so San Disk SD cards and have never had any problem with any of them. I have not yet been able to realize this card's speed for myself due to.. My Mac Pro 8 core, though it has a working USB 3.0 card installed, will not accept a USB 3.0 card reader I bought. I went to a local Mac store and a tech tried the card reader in a few other Macs with similar results. My Mac Mini does turn it on and it's usable but it's not USB 3.0 it's 2.0. I'm giving it 5 stars because the San Disk card still works great whether I have every thing figured out yet or not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Card I've Purchased These are my primary SD cards at the moment they're great. They're great for sports and video, as well as casual use. I'll probably buy more of these in the future. I will say however that if you are using these on a dslr that has more than 16 mega pixels, they will run average. You'll have to go with a bigger card and more writing speed if possible for pro DSLRs. But then again they take CF or something else anyway so no worries. I use these with my D7000, so far great no problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fast memory card I wanted a fast memory card at a reasonable price, and this is the one. I bought two, one for my Rebel and one for my Canon SX230. Both are fast for photographing and downloading. Storage is small - 8GB, but I prefer it that way, I download as soon as I finish a project, and feel free to erase from the card. Too many pictures on a card is dangerous in my opinion - too many to loose. So all I need is a small capacity card that does a good job, and this is the one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I needed! I ordered this card about 2 weeks ago and it came in on time (which is always nice). I needed it for a wedding it outpreformed all of my other class 10 cards easily. The build quality of this card even seems to be of higher quality and a more professional standard. I feel safe when I use my SanDisk cards and that peace of mind is priceless. Most definitely, buy this card. You won't be disappointed. - SamL

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fast Enough Works great with my hacked Panasonic GH2. I am recording at 176 mbps and it is holding up fine.
