    SanDisk 64GB Reviews

64GB Extreme PRO UHS-I SDXC Memory Card is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 1154.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fast, then slow, then fast I'm bought two of these for my D7200 Nikon. Doing bracketed panos, I find that the card seems to write very fast for maybe the first 1/3rd capacity, then suddenly it slows down through maybe the middle storage and then goes back to really fast until it's full. I'm doing 9 shot brackets. The only thing that keeps me out of trouble is the camera's buffer storage and the fact that my last shots in a bracket take maybe 2, 4 or 8 seconds, which allows the card to keep up. Both cards act the same. Just be aware that you may hit a slow down during your shooting. I think I'll try a different brand to see if I get better performance across the whole storage media.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultra-fast, good value I bought one of these after a recent photographic safari, where I ran out of shots on a game drive shoot with my Nikon D800 shooting in RAW mode. Fortunately I had a Sandisk Extreme Pro CF card in the other slot. So I bought this card for the extra capacity. It is faster than the Lexar 128GB SD card that I have, the same speed as the Sandisk Extreme Pro CF card and slower than the Lexar 64GB 1000x CF card that I have. I would recommend this to anyone who is shooting a Nikon D800, needs to be able to take lots of shots without having to unload the card and is likely to take multiple sequential shots. It is much cheaper to buy than the equivalent speed CF cards, so on that front it gets a big thumbs up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great card I shoot mostly RAW files on a D7100 (24 MP), which are 30+ megs in size. I need a fast card to empty the camera buffer as quickly as possible. I bought this card based on its prior reviews, my experience with SanDisk, and the published specs. So far, it's been great. Actually, I bought two (one for each slot). The cards have worked flawlessly, and at certain shooting configurations, I can shoot continuously at 7 FPS for as long as I hold down the button (when shooting small JPEGs, not RAW). I didn't mind paying a few extra bucks for the quality, since I didn't want to worry about losing images. I mean, is the possibility of losing images worth a few dollars?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't Be Cheap! This is about as good as it gets for SD cards, and it's so cheap for the quality! Compare the fastest SD cards to the fastest CF cards at the same size and then think about how you've got all this money invested in your camera body and glass. Do you really want to trust your project to a ten dollar 3rd party card when you can get the top of the line stuff for under a hundred bucks? CF certainly has advantages, and I am not comparing the two in terms of quality/performance; I'm saying that if you're camera takes SD cards, you are already spending relatively little on storage, and for my money there is no better brand to trust than SanDisk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid SD Card Using this with a Canon 5D mkiii. I was using the 32gb extreme pro before moving up to this one. Overall haven't had problems. Very reliable very fast. I haven't had fears of losing my photos with any Sandisk product that I've used so far. Nice to have the extra space since i take alot of video, don't have fears of running out of space and or carry multiple SD cards around. Only draw back may be price, but its come down alot since a couple years ago, seems like its the same price as a 32gb back a couple years ago, So well worth the investment. Should buy it as a long term investment as it will probably outlast all your other cards.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SanDisk is the stuff! I own a number of cards by the leading brands, but SanDisk is always my top choice - I've never, ever experienced any problems with their cards. Ever!! Other brands, including Lexar Professional, have all given me trouble at one point or another. Not SanDisk. I have a number of their cards, have used them for years and year and don't believe in any kind of luck or coincidences. I've recently added this 64GB Extreme Pro UHS-I SDXC U3 card to my collection. Already got to use it for several video gigs, and absolutely love it just like I thought I would. For DSLR photo and video especially - Extreme and Extreme Pro cards by SanDisk are the way to go!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best camera upgrade ever My testing: 5GB Blackmagic file R/W test (limited by my Clevo laptop's card reader) 76MB/s read, 72MB/s write. In my 60D: Previous Sandisk card has 45MB/s read, 41MB/s write. This allowed a burst of 8x continuous shots @ 5.3 shots per second, then 1 shot per second thereafter capturing RAW+JPG each shot, ie 33MB per shot. (will also allow 50x shots continuous JPG only). But, this new 90MB/s Write card has transformed my 18Mpix CANON 60D camera. Allows 8x RAW+JPG shot initial burst, then a just perceivable pause (eg 0.25sec), then another 6x RAW+JPG shot burst before slowing down. Effectively 14x RAW+JPG shot continuous bust now = 460MB captured to the camera's buffer just in 3.5 seconds ! This is a huge improvement. And the camera is ready for another shorter burst after another second pause. I had found the 8x shot burst limiting for kids sports. 18Mpix RAW only now is 15x shot continuous burst (no pause) before slowing down. VIDEO: The change here is the recovery time when banging of still shots during video. The cycle time is much shorter and little of the video is lost now (was typically 1sec of video lost intrusive for sports). From 8x shot burst (also CANON's specs) to 15x shot burst.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unusable after 2 weeks. Died half way through a shoot. Had this card for less than a month, was using in on my Sony A6300. Card became unreadible by the camera half way through a shoot. I lost my footage. Was not able to format card nor was a able to mount it on my computer. Running disk utility and other software also got me nowhere. Search online a lot of people are having issues with this card. Shame I usually love SanDisk cards and generally they are very reliable. But given the failure after such a short time using it I had to write this review.
