The Mercury Rack Pro 4 Bay 1U Rack Storage Solution is a four-bay external mini-SAS hard drive enclosure configured as four independent hard drives. While it offers a maximum capacity of 12 TB, allowing for 3.0 TB per hard drive, in this configuration, the total capacity is 8.0 TB (4x 2.0 TB HDDs). There is support for RAID and JBOD. The Rack Pro features a single external mini-SAS interface, which reduces cable clutter and provides four full channels of data--one per drive--through one external mini-SAS cable. The Rack Pro is specifically designed to meet the demands of server, audio production and video production environments. It provides data transfer rates of up to 24 Gb/s, depending on selected drives, RAID setting, and external mini SAS-equipped SAS or SATA card. The Mercury Rack Pro offers plug-and-play simplicity.

It offers a maximum capacity of 12.0TB with 3.0TB per hard drive. This Mercury Rack Pro features a single external mini-SAS interface which reduces cable clutter and provides four full channels of data one per drive through a single external mini-SAS cable. It's like having four separate eSATA/SAS cables but in a single package. The Mercury Rack Pro is designed specifically to meet the demands of server, audio production and video production environments. It provides data transfer rates of up to 24Gb/s depending on selected drives, RAID setting, and external mini SAS equipped SAS or SATA card. The Mercury Rack Pro offers plug and play simplicity.

    Using the fastest SATA drive mechanisms gives the mercury rack pro a solid, performance focused base. Adding a high-speed external mini-SAS card further enhances it by providing some of the fastest drive transfer rates possible, up to 24Gb/s.
    This can easily be converted to a desktop form-factor via a Phillips screwdriver by simply removing the rack ears and installing the included anti-skid, vibration dampening feet.

    The 2TB Re Datacenter 7200 rpm SATA III 3.5" Internal HDD from WD delivers durable capacity storage for high-availability deployments. With an error tolerance of <1 in 1015, an MTBF of 2 million hours, an AFR of 0.44%, and 600,000 load/unload cycles, it helps provide durability and 24x7x365 reliability in tightly packed vibration prone multi-drive systems. In addition to its performance and robust design, its capacity of 2TB makes this drive well suited for heavy workload environments, cloud storage, RAID arrays, external storage arrays, data warehousing, and mining applications.

    This WD Re Datacenter drive operates using a SATA III 6 Gb/s interface, a 64MB cache, and a rotational speed of 7200 rpm, all of which help to ensure uninterrupted data transfers with a sustained rate of up to 164 MB/s. It is also equipped with vibration protection, Dual Actuator technology, StableTrac technology, a multi-axis shock sensor, TLER technology, NoTouch Ramp Load technology, dynamic fly height technology, and dual processors.
