National 163-P overview

  • 1Description

The National Optical & Scientific Instruments 163-P Trinocular Compound Oil Immersion Microscope has plan achromatic objective lenses and numerous other features. Designed for use in universities and laboratories, the 163-P is a mid-to-high range instrument with optical clarity and precision, ensuring that specimens are viewed accurately. The microscope is backed by a limited lifetime warranty, ensuring its tenure in your facility for years to come.

The plan achromatic objectives are 4x, 10x, 40xR, and 100xR oil immersion DIN standard lenses. All are parfocalled, parcentered, and color-coded, and changing between magnifications is smooth and precise. The widefield 10x binocular eyepieces sit at a 30° angle, while the verticle monocular tube stands straight up. This tube can be removed for optional SLR and video adapters.

Illumination of the 163-P is provided by 12V, 20 watt halogen light. This light features a variable rheostat control, an illuminated on/off switch, and a 3-wire grounded electrical system. Focusing is coaxial and fine. Safety mechanism for focusing include a tension adjustment and a safety rack stop.
