Described as a "real workhorse for education and industry", the 416TBL-10 Stereo Microscope is one of National Optical & Scientific Industries' most popular models. With a simple, yet durable, design and a budget-friendly price point, it's easy to see why. The 416TBL-10 also boasts a lifetime warranty, ensuring its place in your institution for decades to come.
One of the defining qualities of the 415 series is its three-dimensional, upright, unreversed image. It's easy for busy workers, students, or researchers to walk up to the microscope, place their specimen or object on the stage, and see the information they need without having to compensate for an inverted image. The paired widefield 10x eyepieces sit at a comfortable viewing angle of 45° and have a diopter and interpupillary adjustments. Additionally, the binocular eyepieces are on a 360° rotating viewing head, making it easy to share with others.
The all-metal frame is both professional and rugged. It houses a heavy-duty post mount with locking collar, which allows for up or down adjustments of the viewing head. At the base you'll find the stage, which comes with two 80mm stage plates - one frosted glass and one reversible black/white plastic contrast plate. The microscope also has a blue filter for transmitted light and locked-on stage clips for keeping specimen slides in place.
The 416TBL-10 has 1x and 3x objectives for 10x and 30x magnification. The user can change between magnification options using the rotating objective turret. When it comes to illumination, the user can control the incidental and transmitted fluorescent lights using the 4-position light control, for top only, bottom only, top and bottom lights, and off options.
