not really, you can put xqd inside because they are smaller, but because they are loose when you open the case the most probable scenario are six cards over the foor. in other words NO

Would they hold your CF cards if you kept them in the plastic clear case also? that you get when you purchase memory cards :)
No, it's a nice snug fit when you place the card in the foam-ish cutout. No plastic case needed!

Does this case come with a lanyard (keeper cord of any type)?
Not sure if there is one in the box or not, but there is a place for you to attach something. I just put this in my back pocket and always have my cards ready. I have several of these cases and they are just great.
