Logitech H800 reviews

H800 Wireless Stereo Headset is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 47.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from When it works, it's great. When it works, it works great. However, sometimes it won't connect until a PC reboot. Or it will work for a bit, I turn it off, then need it again and turn it on and it won't connect. Also, on my PC I only have 3 USB and I use a hub, IF I try to use with the charger charging it won't work(it's supposed to). It's terrific when it's connecting. But if I'm switching back and forth throughout the day from my JBL speakers back to the bluetooth it occasionally fails to connect so a reboot is required to get sounds working properly. So for the price it's not a good value. I'd rather have a regular usb headset than go through this hassle.Dissappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Case of Get What You Paid For First things first: I bought this for my wife so that she could play her MMO and easily switch to Bluetooth when I called to talk to her about whatever when I wasn't home. Great concept but poor execution. The Bluetooth application actually works pretty well, what didn't work so well was the RF to the dongle. When using it as a regular headset it couldn't keep a solid connection even four feet away from the dongle. Not cool. That's why it got sent back. Bought her what I use which is the Logitech G930 headset. It has its' own issues but I can at least hear and talk with mine on at any time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Within a year I'm looking for a new one. I love these headphones. The range is alright, battery life is acceptable, they're comfortable and light weight. BUT, see there I stressed the BUT; The battery doesn't last long, after charging it for a year, I need to keep it plugged in to use it with the computer; To charge it I need to rubber band the charger cable to the headphones to where it stays tight with the charger port (REALLY BAD PORT) had to replace the first one because of charging port issues...; wireless... not through a small wall or partition, windows work alright, but not after less than a year of use; It has a secret compartment that houses the battery and has a spot to clip the USB dongle into, good luck finding it and opening it! There is a multitude of connectivity issues, but it's easy enough to remedy after you get used to it...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile, great quality, clear sound, I use for VOIP on Skype, as my phone for personal call center purposes (I made more than 100 calls a day), listening to music in between and talking on my ihpone through bluetooth. It is so versatile, works flawlessly. The mic is perfect. The sound quality is pretty darned good for a do-it-all! I've seen some other headsets that automatically mute when you swing the mic into the upright position. That would be nice, but there is absolutely no drawback to not having it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Most Flexible Headset I Could Find While looking for a new headset for my PC I ran across the Logitech H800 and was intrigued because it was the only one I have ever seen that can connect both wirelessly via included UBS transmitter to my PC as well as to my phone and table via Bluetooth. I take all of my calls on it either from my PC (Skype/Lync) or cell phone and have never had anyone complain of call quality. It has an easy mute button on the left ear so you do not have to fumble around on your computer or phone to mute and unmute while on a call. There is also an easy switch to turn the headset off, on Bluetooth, or on Wireless to easily and quickly switch between your devices. It is perfect if you are looking for a versatile headset that you can switch back and forth from your PC to your phone for both online and cell phone calls. It exceeds expectations on ease of use and the range is about what I expected. It is certainly not the headset for a heavy gamer or music listener looking for high quality sound. The quality is perfect for calls and fine for listening to music as background noise while working. The battery makes it though a work day of multiple calls for me and if I forget to charge it, it still works while being charged via a USB cable unlike most Bluetooth/wireless devices I have used before. I think the only improvement I could ask for would be to have a behind the head option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best valued bluetooth/wireless headset I was hesitated for this headset for quite a while. It is mostly due to the high price around 90+. B&H had it for $ and I had no second thought and grabbed it. The PC dongle works great as your audio device stay online whether you have the headset set to USB or not. This won't confuse the PC as applications tend to bind it to an audio device and get confused when you disconnect devices. Bind a bluetooth headset to PC and you know what I mean. I use the bluetooth mode for my cell phone only. Switching works flawlessly with a toggle on the headset. The boom mic also falls into one of my strict criteria as I found most of the wireless bluetooth headset without boom mic struggle to deliver clear voice. This one will not let anyone to notice you on wireless. I have it working with all my VOIP app, including my company Cisco VOIP app.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Great I uses this headset while processing photographs using my WebCam so my son-in-law can help me with the color balance and details of processing pictures on the computer. The headset is very comfortable and the sound is acceptable to me and no static is present when using the phones. More working on pictures we average about 2 to 3 hours at a time during this session. The headset rests on the outer part of the ear and does not apply too much pressure but stays in position as I move around the room turning on her handling the printers

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good headphones, dumb software setting The headphones themselves are comfortable, lightweight, and have good sound quality for their type. The range is excellent, reaching nearly everywhere in my two-story house. The negative is that the headphones install as a speaker (at least in Windows 8 as of now), not as headphones...so to play to them, they need to be set as the default speaker. When you don't want to use them, to use your normal speakers, you have to change your speaker setting again, making your external speakers the default. With plug-in headphones, this switching is automatic, and I think it should be for these headphones too - the switch could be made when you turn the headphones on and off...at least, that should be an option. So, this dings the convenience, but otherwise, they are very good.
