    Logitech C920 reviews

C920 HD Pro Webcam is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 173.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slight improvement over C910 HD Having owned the C910 HD for over two years, I've decided to upgrade to the C920 HD. Logitech completely dominates the webcam market for a good reason: their high-end webcams are excellent. The C920, much like the C910, is a great little webcam with excellent video and audio capabilities (compared to other webcams). I recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone who needs a good quality webcam, but just want to warn buyers who are thinking of upgrading from a C910 to hold off - I don't think the improvements in picture and audio quality are noticeable. I would wait for another generation or two before upgrading.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great video, Audio echos My goal in purchasing the C920 was to do hands-free FaceTime video calls on my Mac Mini. It turns out the video works very well. Unfornately, when using FaceTime, the built-in omni-directional microphone produces echo... making the unit unusable without headphones. I tried several things including working with Logitech Customer Service and finally gave up on using the built-in microphone. To solve the problem, I purchased a seperate shotgun hypercardioid micorphone and used other equipment I already had to interface the new microphone with the computer. I caution others who expect use this for hands-free FaceTime.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent webcam This is an excellent webcam for my Win7 64-bit machine. The clarity of video is remarkable for the price. It sits confortably atop my monitor. It is quite light and the anchoring mechanism is rubberized (to eliminate damage to the monitor) and very adjustable. The tripod mount is nice, though I doubt that I'll use it. My only problem is that my motherboard / sound technology assumes only input from audio plugs, not USB microphones. I had to buy a separate audio mic (not a big deal, but something I learned after the fact. Surely no fault of Logitech). I chose the AudioTechnica ATR-3350 which has proven to be excellent. If you're looking for a webcam with high quality video, I highly recommend the Logitech C920 HD.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does its job better... I bought this C920 for personal video chat with friends & relatives. They appreciated the quality of web cam picture they are seeing during the video chat. And I no need to sit in front of my computer to chat, due to the quality of built-in mic, i can even go 20ft away from this mic and talk, it captures it nicely. Pros: - In-built mic; its awesome, period. Cons: - No drivers available for Mac. But it works fine with my Mac OS X Lion - I tried the zoom capability (in windows xp), it is JUST ok. Lens is not actually zooming, only the picture gets enlarged, so you loose the megapixels

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not truly Mac compatible A Mac can see the camera and use it. But cannot capture the HD aspect. The software is not made for Mac. Wouldn't have picked it up for Mac but was okayed by several B&H staff in that department.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Logitech does it again! I love my new Logitech C920 HD Pro Webcam! After doing a bit of research I settled on spending a bit more on the new C920 based on specs and features. What I love about Logitech and this products is ease of installation, ease of use, and quality of product. I was up and running in less than the time my PC takes to boot up. I made my first HD 1080p call on Skype and the receiving party commented on both the sound and picture quality immediately. This model has everything you need for personal use and it can easily handle most business-to-business applications. I'm absolutely thrilled!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product I use this product to help me process pictures on my computer. Due to a medical problem with my eyes I have a hard time seeing details. I work with my son-in-law who lives approximately 75 miles from me, after printing the pictures I can hold him up to this camera and he can evaluate the pictures as far as color balance and details. The camera is that good. I've experimented with the lighting around the camera so he can see the truest colors. It isn't perfect but it's close enough for the purposes I use it for. It was very easy to install and the installation went without a hitch.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Is the C920 HD Pro Webcam worth it? Though the C920 HD Pro Webcam by Logitech was a bit more than I wanted to spend I found the extra money well worth it. I not making in HD movies or anything but for business conference calls, short instructional videos that we post on our site, and other general usage this camera does very well. It easily mounts on the top of any monitor or you can use the the built in tripod mount for live streaming events. It is a true plug and play device. Once it was plugged into the computers usb port I was able to skype a friend almost immediately. The sound and picture quality is great.
