What RF frequency band does it use? How many wireless channels? Does it automatically locate unused channels? How many D2 devices can be used in the same set-up?

The D2 use a 24bit/96KHz closed Wi-Fi system. You will not have a problem with interference. The D2 is paired in the factory. You won't switch channels. You'll need to use the manual to add up to three more receivers for a maximum of four.
