    ikan IBP-D88 reviews

Panasonic D54 Type Ultra-High Capacity Battery is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Appreciate the capacity and price I purchased this to use with my Panasonic AJ-PX270 camcorder. The stock batteries are 5800 mAh and run the camera about 90 minutes. With the ikan battery I get nearly three hours, at a slightly lower cost. Downsides are that the mechanical fit is not as perfect as the OEM batteries (either in the camera or on the charger), and it is large, sticking out the back of the camera about an inch farther than the original batteries. I haven't had it long enough to know how the cells will hold up over time to repeated use and charging cycles, but it is reliable for now.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Review update We have had six of these units since Dec 2013. They have performed well after nearly 100 partial cycles on each, The LED capacity readout is great feature. However, three of these units have been ruined by the terribly under-engineered mounting flanges breaking off. They are just thin plastic. You've got to be really careful with these batteries since they hang off the rear of the camera quite far.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great battery, big battery We bought four of these a few years ago and they've worked out superbly, offering many hours of uninterrupted, confident shooting with our older Panny P2 rigs. The charge level LEDs are convenient. However, it's a BIG battery and hangs off the back quite far. I mention this because it is easy to set the camera down so that a to of leverage is applied to the battery. This can fracture the mounting ears (which are way under engineered!) making the battery useless. The plastic mounting system is quite fragile and cannot be repaired.
