This book, Mixing Audio from Focal Press is both a study in the art and science of mixing. It takes a trained ear to really know when you've hit it on a recording and this book will give you the tools to recognize what it takes to master the skills to when you've "hit it." Tips, tricks and insights will show you the way to get that perfect mix. It will demonstrate theory and tools used to achieve a final product. It's loaded with photos, graphs diagrams and samples

A companion website provides 4 sample mixes and over 2,000 audio samples. You'll also have screenshots and session files of the sample mixes. Whether it's rock, jazz or heavy metal, you'll come away with a working knowledge of what it takes to do a proper mix and get the sound that you envision in your mind's eye.
