The Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 EX DC HSM Autofocus Zoom is a super-wide angle lens with a maximum aperture of f/3.5 throughout the entire zoom range, ensuring high image quality. The maximum aperture of f/3.5 allows enough light in to make it a great choice for indoor shooting as well as landscapes and creative portraiture.

With its wide angle view from 102.4 degrees, this lens can empower the photographer to produce creative images with exaggerated perspective. This lens has a Super Multi-Layer coating that coating reduces flare and ghosting. With a HSM (Hyper-Sonic Motor), the lens operates quietly and at high speed in both autofocus and full-time manual modes.

The lens design incorporates an inner focusing system which eliminates front lens rotation, making the lens particularly suitable for using the Petal-type hood, reducing extraneous light and reducing internal reflection.

Two ELD (Extraordinary Low Dispersion) glass elements and a SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass element provide excellent correction of color aberration. Four aspherical lenses provide correction for distortion and allow compact and lightweight construction. This Sigma lens has a minimum focusing distance of 9.4 inches (24cm) throughout the entire zoom range and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:6.6.

Note: Vignetting will occur if the lens is used with 35mm SLR cameras or digital cameras with image sensors larger than APS-C size

10-20mm f/3.5 EX DC HSM Autofocus Zoom Lens For Canon Cameras is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 135.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Lens I purchased this lens to hit the other end of the photography spectrum in order to highly complement my super-telephoto lens. The Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 EX DC HSM Autofocus Zoom Lens is a must if you are interested in landscape photography. The field of view from the lens blows my mind. Although the front glass element of the lens itself is curved, the lens still enables you to attach filters to the front. It is lightweight, high quality, and provides crisp images - even in low light conditions. It also comes with a well constructed carrying case that holds the lens and lens hood securely. It is a great addition to an enthusiast's photography toolbox.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value lens I bought the lens in what must be the best equipped photography shop in the world, B and H in New York. I got the opportunity to try the Tokina and Canon equivalents but went for the faster lens the Sigma. Got great advice from the sales team in store. I used the lens for my holiday pictures of NYC and it didn't disappoint. It was great for taking all sorts of pictures from skyscrapers, landscapes in Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge. The best ones were the night landscape from the top of the rock, which because of the speed of the lens, were hand held. Super lens , bargain at the price

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lens for an affordable price I had this wide angle lens for a month so far and used it primarily for outdoors scenics and nature photography. I debated buying the Canon equivalent wide angle lens but decided to try this one after reading most of the user's reviews. It is a sharp lens, beautifully constructed, easy to use, fast and focuses accurately. It is slightly heavy but not a big issue for me. It works great with my Rebell 3Ti when I needed the extra wide angle to capture the scenics. I highly recommend this lens and can't think of anything bad about it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful wide angle lens I shoot home interiors for magazines, and a wide angle is a must in many rooms in order to get a decent snapshot of an interior. Well, with this lens, you can almost get the whole room when zoomed all the way out! I use it on a tripod with a cable release due to the low shutter speeds, and it is by far my favorite lens. I have shot magazine covers with this lens, and I've never been disappointed. I've also done some journalistic work with it and found it to create some really interesting shots due to its wide angle. But, then again, I like wide angle photography. In low light, be ready to use a tripod. Really great lens. Couldn't reccommend it enough.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than ... This is the first Sigma lens I've used in about a decade. And boy have they improved. I'm a Canon shooter. First of this EX series of lenses as far as I can tell is on par with L series glass. Autofocus is fast and quiet as my Canon lenses. Pics come out sharp and clear. The aperture only goes to f3.5 but that is for the entire zoom range unlike Canon & Nikon equivalents that stop down as you extend your zoom. Not only is the Sigma brand still a lower price than Canon and Nikon but B&H tends to meet... prices. The gear is legitimately warrantied and hey if something does end up wrong there is an actual brick and mortar store you can go to. I've had this lens for few weeks already operating in wet humid summer conditions and have no complaints.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Landscape Lens I was Looking for I have had this lens only for a short while and so far it is taking lovely pictures. Where there are problems, it is clearly operator error--takes some getting used to because it's very different from what I was using before. I have some vision issues that make focusing on manual tricky. And I'm very picky about results because I enlarge and frame for exhibit. One thing I've noticed is that I do not see any sign of vignetting with the polarizer filter I've been using when using wide open. The design of the lens with a flared housing at the end into which you screw the filter, seems to prevent the problem. I'm still learning how to adjust in LR for the slight distortion typical of wide angle. I had been looking for a good landscape lens and so far I think this is going to do just what I'd hoped.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great deal ! I bought this to replace my Canon10/22mm and so far I'm pleased with my decision.Every bit as good or better than the Canon plus it came with hood and great padded case.Neither of which canon offered as part of the deal. All that for less . I like the 3.5 constant aperture. So far I've been pleased with all the shots I've taken with this lens. Most of my work is shot at f8 or f11 and it's really sharp at those apertures....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Happy Purchased as shared lens at small newspaper. Considered this and Tokina's 11-16. For our purposes we felt the Tokina zoom range was too limiting, so we chose Sigma. No regrets. The lens is always checked out by one of our staff. Ability to zoom in a little allows staff to shoot dramatic wide angles as well as shots that look close to normal without having to change lenses. Fixed aperture makes it fast enough for some action usage. Good build quality. Was a little concerned about larger filter size, but aside from fact that you can't share filters with 77mm lens, it's a non-issue. Basically feels the same as a 77mm diameter lens. Not too big, easy to carry around. Haven't done any pixel peeping, but in general we are very happy with detail and sharpness. Nothing negative to say. Would definitely buy again.
