The Cinevate Proteus Cage is a simplistic, yet rugged cage for use with the variety of cameras and rigs. It is constructed from 100% computer machined aluminum that is computer bent and then powder coated black for additional protection. The efficiency of design results in a highly modular cage offering a wide variety of mounting possibilities. Up to 3 rail blocks can be mounted at a time for the use of additional 15mm accessory rods on either side or on top of the rig. There are also specially designed mount points for the use of auxiliary accessory shoes in order to attach additional mics, wireless transmitters, or other lightweight peripheral devices. The top bar is further compatible to accept sliding clamps in order to secure a small laptop or monitor to the cage.
The cage is lightweight, weighing 2.5 lb / 1.15 kg, and can support loads well over 40 lb / 18.1 kg if necessary. Included with the cage are 2 universal rail blocks, for use with standard 15mm support rails, and a standard 1/4"-20 tripod plate.
A highly minimal design promotes modularity and compatibility with a wide variety of accessories.
Up to 3 rail blocks and specially designed mount points permit the use of numerous rails and accessory shoes.
Powder coated, computer machined aluminum frame offers protection to the camera as well as a sturdy base capable of withstanding loads over 40 lb / 18.1 kg.
