Watson D-3618 overview

  • 1Description

The Duo LCD Charger for VW-VBG Batteries from Watson conveniently charges two batteries simultaneously, drawing power from either an AC wall source (an AC cord with two-prong plug is included) or a 12/24V DC power source (a DC car charger is also included). Additionally, the Duo Charger features a USB power output to charge and power MP3 players, phones, digital cameras, and other devices with a USB power input.

With two easily interchangeable plates, the intelligent charger can also be used for other battery models that are not listed above via the separate purchase of an additional battery plate that's compatible with the intended battery model.

The intelligent charger features an LCD display that graphically shows charge status for both batteries. This allows you to test batteries instantaneously, so you can easily decide which Li-ion cells to bring with you for the day. With protection against overcharging, overheating, and short circuit, the Duo Charger safely, conveniently, and quickly recharges up to two compatible Li-ion batteries and one USB-powered device.

    Watson D-3618 reviews

Duo LCD Charger for VW-VBG Batteries is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like a charm. I use this charger to simultaneously charge 2 batteries for my Panasonic AG-AC130A. The great thing about it is you can order other inserts to charge a variety of batteries.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good concept poorly executed... Ordered (3) of these to replace OEM Panasonic chargers for a pool of Panasonic AG-HMC150 cameras in an educational environment. We stock vw-vbg260 &vw-vbg6 style batteries for said cameras and while the charger seemed fine for the smaller form-factor 260's it took some practice just to actually get the larger style 6's to even seat on the plate. Then this is a universal base that comes with the Panasonic VW-VBG plates, so we found unless you were willing to glued the plates down or remembered to keep your fingers in just the right place to keep it from moving, it was too easy to pop the plates off while removing batteries from the charger. The plates themselves seemed EXTREMELY flimsily- the plastic battery guide/alignment tabs seemed to be easily broken and the actually charging blades seemed easily bent. We gave up and returned them to search for an alternative.
