The HighPoint RocketRAID 4320 SAS 3 GB/s RAID Host Bus Adapter is ideal for applications such as video capture and editing, CAD/CAM and digital graphics. Based on HighPoint's TerabyteArchitecture, it offers performance and data protection. The Intel IOP348 I/O Processor delivers enterprise class SAS RAID 5 and RAID 6 performance (749 MB/s read and 628 MB/s write) for mission critical applications that require higher levels of sustained performance, availability and native expansion.

8-Port SAS Host-RAID HBA
The RocketRAID 4320 is powered by Intel's IOP348 and is one of the fastest professional SAS and SATA RAID controllers available. The RocketRAID 4320 is a full hardware RAID controller, with 256 MB of internal cache.
RAID and Non-RAID Storage Configurations
The RocketRAID 4320 supports a variety of RAID and non-RAID configurations including single disks, JBOD configurations and RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10 and 50.
Comprehensive OS Support
The RocketRAID 4320 is compatible with all the major operating systems including Windows 7/2008/Vista, Linux Distributions (native support for 2.6.25x) and FreeBSD.
Integrated Firmware Based Management Interface
The intuitive, full featured storage device and RAID Management interface is integrated directly into the RR4320 firmware and includes BIOS-level management, with additional support for CLI and web based user interfaces.
Intel IOP348 (1.2 GHz) - RAID I/O Processor
The RocketRAID is available in 8 port configurations and has internal and external mini-SAS connectors. All RocketRAID 4300 series controllers support RAID level 0, 1, 3, 5, 6, 10 and JBOD. The Intel IOP348 (1.2 GHz) is one of the industry's highest performing RAID I/O processor engines for multi channel SATA hardware RAID 5/6 controllers. The RocketRAID 4300 series of PCIe hardware RAID controllers leverage the ADMA architecture in the Intel IOP348(1.2 GHz) to deliver the leading RAID 6 performance with sustained transfer rates over 749 MB/s Read and over 628 MB/s Write.
RAID 6 Dual Parity Protection
The RocketRAID offers robust hardware RAID 6 protection, an additional disk drive failure tolerance provided by a second independent distributed parity scheme. It provides protection for mission critical data from two concurrent disk drive failures. For instance, eliminating the risk of data loss if a second drive fails while rebuilding is in process. An optional battery backup with integrated write journaling enhances data availability through rapid data recovery from power outage events.
