Watson D-3410 overview

  • 1Description

This Duo LCD Charger from Watson restores power to one or two EN-EL15 batteries via the included, dedicated plates. These can be replaced by optional plates for various other batteries. Additionally, the Duo can simultaneously charge two different batteries with different voltages. Charging time is between two and six hours. The unit also features a USB 2.0 port, which enables you to charge and power a mobile device while your camera batteries are being replenished. The LCD screen displays each battery's charge percentage--even when the Duo is unplugged--via the test button.

Running on 100-240 VAC power, the Duo can be used all over the world. It includes a power cord with a 2-prong North American plug, as well as a 12 VDC car charger that plugs into a cigarette lighter.

    Watson D-3410 reviews

Duo LCD Charger with Two EN-EL15 Battery Plates is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 116.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from I am so let down! I bought three of these, a week apart and didn't use them for about 7 months. Then I used them only occasionally. All three started showing discrepancies in the amount of charge --of the same batteries. Then one started over heating, a lot! I called Watson and discovered I had called on exactly the last day (!) of my one year warranty period, so they swapped one out for me. But I had no such luck with the other two. To sum it up... These chargers are way over priced, unreliable, and I am so let down as I had hoped for more. My only conclusion is that other people who give them such good reviews haven't had them long enough for them to fail. BUYER BEWARE!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works in US and Europe I need to charge batteries in the US and when I travel to Europe. The product specifications page at B&H said the power input is 100-120V 50/60 Hz which would not work in Europe. So I called Pearstone and they said that B&H had posted incorrect information and that it WAS able to accept 100-220V 50/60 Hz. So I purchased it. And yes, the label at the bottom of the charger confirms it. I haven't been to Europe yet, but so far, the charger works great. My only minor complaint is that I can't turn off the backlight display without unplugging the unit - so I just cover up the display or unplug the charger when I'm done. I bought several plates to charge different batteries. GREAT purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A MUST HAVE! If you don't have this charger your wasting valuable time. It displays battery level on a LCD screen and charges two batteries at once, quick, fast, and in a hurry! The Watson is the best accessory product I've ever purchased! No more panicking because you thought your batteries were charged enough the night before. No more waiting for the blinking light to go solid with that single battery charger, or interrupting charge time by putting the battery in your camera to verify the charge level. That time can now be spent looking for your car keys. If Sherlock Holmes were alive today he would be working with this Watson too!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice Idea Nice Idea to be able to charge two batteries as well as several different types of batteries with the different adapter plates. The adapter plates slip off way too easily while removing the batteries after charging. Also the company website is off line, apparently they have been bought out by another company so the long term support is questionable. I also am reluctant to charge my Nikon Batteries with this charger, I have had excellent success and very long battery life using my Nikon chargers. However, if aftermarket batteries are being used then why not use an aftermarket charger? Time will only tell how long they will last...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fried 2 Nikon Batteries I wanted to love this charger as it gets good reviews and has a useful LCD screen. I've had this unit for over a year and it seemed to work well. I just pulled off 2 OEM Nikon batteries that have been on there and they are both dead even though they show on the Watson as 100%. I put them in a Nikon charger, one shows fully charged and the other gets a fast blink. The batteries were basically new and not used very much as I have 4 EL15's for one camera body. And the battery plate system does suck!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent charger Obviously being able to charge two batteries is the key with this piece of gear. I can charge my Fuji X batteries and my Nikon batteries at the same time or double up and charge two of the same by just switching plates which only cost $. Sweet idea and fairly decent execution except the plates come out too easy, they actually fall out if you aren't careful. Makes it feel cheap. Charge times are right there with OEM chargers, maybe a tad faster but overall this works and reduces the number of chargers I have to carry with me and that is a winner.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very useful product I like the idea of being able to charge two batteries at at time. This charger seems to do a good job. I wish it had an on / off switch. I wedged two small screws between the adapter plates and the body to keep the plates from coming off the body when ever taking a battery off the charger. Frustrating removing a battery and then having to disengage the battery from the adapter and then putting the adapter back on the body.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad news! I have had a similar experience to previous 1-star reviewers. The charger worked for a while, then not only did it stop working, but killed 2 fairly new batteries. After being on the Watson charger, neither battery will take a charge now. Buyer beware, this may cost you more than the cost of the charging unit.
