The Manfrotto L-Plate Adapter from Camdapter is a durable aluminum plate that is designed to fit many different types of cameras - particularly larger DSLRs without battery grips. It attaches to your camera with its 1/4-20 thread and will mount to most tri/monopods. The "L" design allows you to mount it to your tripod and shoot either horizontally or vertically - a real benefit if you're shooting in macro mode or need to use slow shutter speeds. It's integrated strap lug permits you to attach the optional Camdapter Pro Strap that will make it a more flexible tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great product! A great product that does just what it is asked to do and completely gets out of the way. Way less bulky and unwieldy than Manfrotto's own L-plate, but exquisitely machined and finished nonetheless. The sliding plates allow one to carefully align the tripod mount to the lens axis also when shooting in portrait mode. Recommended for landscape, architectural and portrait photography, and also especially useful for panorama stitching.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits my Canon %D Mark II I was concerned that it woud not fit my camera. After adjusting the sliding adapter and tightening a hex screw, I was ready to go. I left a 3/4 space betwee the side of my camera nd the side of the bracket to allow me to connect a cable for a remote. I also purchased a manfrotto RCII Quick Change Rectangular Plate Adapter, so I do not have to screw my camera onto the L Bracket. I can just quickly pop it out of the Quick release plate.

Perfect fit for my Canon T1i/500D and Manfrotto Quick Release Plate 200PL-14. Great L-plate for the Manfrotto system. Allows for quick switch from landscape to portrait mode.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent gear. Manfrotto make awesome tripods and heads but unfortunately your L-Plate it's very tricky, big, heavy and expensive. So the Camdapter L-Plate it's the best option to substitute the original one for its simplicity and affordability.
