Zacuto Z-DSPA overview

  • 1Description

Zacuto's Scorpion Shoulder Assembly is an all-in-one shoulder pad system that's ideal for traditional ENG-style shooting with an EVF or a small monitor. The curved silicone gel pad and the counterbalance that's positioned low below your shoulder provide maximum comfort while shooting. Plus, the whole assembly can be articulated in almost any direction, using the built-in ball joint feature at the front of the pad. The built-in top handle makes it easy to get the rig on and off your shoulder, and is very useful for shooting at low angles.

The Scorpion shoulder assembly is designed for use with an in-line Zacuto DSLR baseplate kit. The assembly connects to the baseplate using two 2" M/F rods, which screw into the back of the baseplate and attach to the shoulder pad via 15mm quick release ports, making it easy to quickly switch from handheld shooting to a tripod. The Scorpion also includes two 3.5" M/F rods in the back so that you can add any 15mm accessory for a counterbalance. The Scorpion is not recommended for use with offset rigs--it's designed for in-line rigs where your eye is positioned at the EVF.
