Make the most of your existing collection of Canon EF/EF-S-mount glass with this Vello Lens Adapter that will allow you to mount these lenses to a Sony E-mount camera. Precise construction makes it easy to attach these adapted lenses to your camera and keeps it secure during use. Infinity focus is guaranteed, ensuring that you get proper functionality our of all your optics. This model features a built-in tripod foot for added stability on a tripod when using long lenses. Additionally, the adapter is made from a durable zinc alloy and features a matte black finish on the inside to reduce the potential for glare and reflections that can negatively impact image quality.

Although the lens will fit physically, autofocus, automatic diaphragm (AE metering), and other functions dependent on communication between camera body and lens will be disrupted by the lens adapter. You will need to focus manually, and to set exposures manually or meter in aperture priority (stop-down) mode. If the lens does not have a manual aperture collar, the aperture will be stopped down to its smallest f/stop. Focusing to infinity is retained.

This adapter enables the use of Canon EF/EF-S lenses on Sony E-mount cameras, meaning you can now use your existing stable of lenses on your current camera. It is also very secure, holding the lens in place without any wobble sometimes associated with the adapting process.
Thanks to precise manufacturing, this adapter is guaranteed to provide infinity focus by placing the lens at the correct distance from the sensor. This allows you to make the most of your lenses and doesn't limit you from shooting distant subjects.
Made from a durable zinc alloy, this adapter will withstand many uses and won't wear or break in the way soft brass or cheap plastic would. Also, an internal matte black finish reduces reflections and glare, ensuring your images look sharp and contrasty.

Canon EF/EF-S Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera Lens Adapter is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 52.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tripod Collar = Removable! Aligns EF Lens Perfectly Not sure why this was not brought up sooner. The TRIPOD COLLAR is REMOVABLE! Just remove the two Allan screws and presto! I was also worried that this would not align properly with the EF glass (first generation adapters had the aperture rings upside down when mounted) but this one aligns the lens properly!!! So I would have to say that this is the best dumb adapter for EF->E-Mount out there based on the two above attributes alone! And personally I don't need any electronic control as I use this with my back-up Samyang/Rokinon lenses in case my native E-Mount lenses die in the field. Think phone book when the internet is down or a pencil/paper when your tablet is out of power.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Canon to Sony emount Adaptor For many months I have searched for an inexpensive, reliable adaptor for my Sony a6000 and A7. Metabones was too expensive while others did not have good reviews. Along came Bello. Wow !!!!! Superb picture quality .Rarely with chromatic aberration. Both my Canon 50mm 1.4 and 85 1.8 took superb pics in manual mode, which I have not used for years. Vello's easy connection to both my Sony's . Tight connection, easy mounting to camera body and easy facilitation of my Canons. I would recommend this adaptor. Worth way more than I paid. Thank you B&H. Steve C. (Advanced amateur).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great addition for the a7r I purchased this adapter so I could use my Canon 24mm Tilt-Shift lens with my Sony a7r. I have tried the extremes of shifts and tilts at the lens's best f stops (f11 & f16)and the results are terrific. I created an image employing shift at left, center, and right and merged the images in PS and the adapter worked perfectly. The adapter doesn't cause vignetting with this lens which I've read can be a problem with other brands. It also passes the f stop info to the file which is very helpful in LightRoom. I am very pleased with this product. When I ordered it B&H warned that there was a three week backorder on this item but they delivered it to me within one week.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not the worst. This adapter fits snugly on my Sony but leaves a little to be desired on the lens fit. My cinema lenses fit just a bit too loosely for my preference. I haven't seen any light leaks as a result but there is a little too much flex in the lens while pulling focus. This isn't quite as obvious on wide or handheld shots but becomes pretty noticeable on locked down tripod shots with longer focal lengths. I cannot make any judgement on the fit of my Canon stills lenses as I have not installed them on this adapter. Ultimately I think I will sell my Canon mount cinema lenses and buy Sony mount equivalents but for now this gets the job done.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great way to use EF / EF-S lenses on NEX I have an old Canon Rebel T1i and wanted a way to use my old lenses after getting a Sony A6000. This adapter fits the bill and while it doesn't allow auto focus or aperture adjustments (You'll be shooting wide open), the Canon lenses work well on it. The A6000 has focus peaking, so manual focus is not too bad. Good for subjects that are not super fast moving, and it means I don't have to sell off all my Canon lenses. The NEX lenses are much more compact, so I don't end up taking the Canon lenses with me often, but now at least the option is there if I need it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stable lens adapter for low price This adapter feels very solid with an 85mm Canon lens mounted on my Sony A7R camera. It doesn't have any electrical communication with the body of my camera so it has to be used in manual mode however the alternative adapters cost 10 times more. I especially like the built in tripod mount which removes a great deal of stress from the mount on the camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works surprisingly well This device is straight forward, snaps right on the front of the camera, your canon EF lenses fit right on after. It definitely takes your pictures or videos to the next level making a good thing even better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Small investment for big impact! Diving into the mirrorless rhealm, I was reluctant to be without my faithful Canon EF lenses. Great lenses are an investment and this adapter makes them even more versatile. The adapter is solidly built and the fit to both lenses and body feels very secure. There are adaptors out there that provide a more integrated and automatic experience with your camera body, but at more and 13X the cost. Brush up your manual focus chops and enjoy the precision of your existing lenses for a tiny investment.
