It Works But Having a 50Hour Life Expectancy is the Question

It will have occasional use in a 3M overhead projector. I give it four stars because how can one tell if it deserves five stars until one uses it until it dies. I see the stated life expectancy as the most critical feature for a bulb serving this purpose. For me, it will take a long time to arrive at 50 hours of on-time. Being disciplined and keeping a log of total run-time for the bulb will be unrealistic.

This is a replacement lamp for my Beseler Dichro 45s variable contrast enlarger head. What is great about it is that, when I press the on switch of my timer, light comes out through the enlarger lens. With the old, burned out bulb, it was still dark, even when the switch was on. Seriously, though, B&H's prices and shipping speed cannot be beat!

Using the bulb in a Besesler slide duplicator to digitally copy negs and chromes. They provide the best continuous illumination for the effort.
