Lowepro 150 overview

  • 1Description

The mica Lowepro Event Messenger 150 Shoulder Bag is a lightweight yet durable messenger-style bag that holds a DSLR or mirrorless system camera, tablet, and accessories. It can hold a DSLR with an attached lens, 2-3 extra lenses up to a 70-200mm f/2.8, or a flash with two lenses, accessories and personal items.

The bag features a padded compartment to hold a tablet. It also has an easily accessible main compartment, adjustable dividers, a front flap, as well as an additional zippered closure for the main compartment. The interior is customizable using adjustable touch fastened dividers.

The Dual-Mode Flap system consists of touch fasteners that can be used to close the bag without using the snap coupler. The fasteners can fold back so that when you open the bag, it will not make the ripping sound that hook-and-loop touch fasteners are known for. The front zippered accessory compartment contains pockets for pens, memory cards and your phone. The bag is carried by an adjustable shoulder strap or its top grab handle for quick access retrieval. It's made from a combination of a nylon polyurethane exterior and polyester, tricot, foam interior.

Event Messenger 150 Shoulder Bag (Mica) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 87.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome messenger bag! Got this bag to carry my primes during portrait sessions and weddings and I couldn't be happier! I can fit my 70-200 f/2.8 and two primes (usually my 50mm and 20mm f/1.8) and my D750 body no problem! The pocket on the front is great for batteries and memory cards and the slots on the side are great for my wallet and phone and lens caps. This thing is comfortable even when wearing it for a long time and it looks really nice (the mica color, at least) so I feel perfectly comfortable wearing it even at fairly formal events. The velcro covers are perfect so you can quietly access your gear but have it secure when noise isn't an issue. Really well done LowePro!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Get EM 250 if you have full frame. I got this to commute to work with my iPad and camera. The quality is very good for a $bag and it's light. Quiet velcro flap option is great for quiet shooting situations. The iPad fits snugly, but you won't be able to fit a full frame dslr with the iPad e.g. 5d mkii--it pushes the middle out and it's difficult to clip and secure the flap. It's a bit narrow, so if you are a 6'0 male, it may look like a murse on you. I decided to exchange this for the event messenger 250(only $10 more), which holds and iPad or a 13 inch laptop easily and a FF camera. This bag (150) is ideal for a very small dslr or micro 4/3 camera and an iPad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect bag for any DSLR camera This bag was an excellent choice and I've thrilled with it. Well made, light weight, plenty of dividers for customization, and comfortable to carry. I have my Canon 6D plus attached Canon EF 24-105 mm F/4 (plus hood) + Canon EF 70-200 mm F/4 IS (plus hood) + Canon Speed lite 430 EX II and my Ipad. The front pouch holds my charger and batteries with plenty of room to spare, only bulging out the front ever so slightly. The extra pockets in there are perfect for the extra SD disk card or filters. I love the added feature of Velcro close for quick access, or latch close for security against jostling. This bag is perfect for walking in a city. I would highly recommend this bag to anyone looking for a easy and portable camera bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple, sturdy, and thoughtful I am based in West Africa, in the Southern fringes of the Sahara Desert. I use this as a field bag when trekking around in the car and on foot taking photos. I have the Canon 7D and there is room for the camera and an extra lens bag inside. The demands of the W African terrain are intense, dust, sand, and wind, and I wanted a bag that I could open quickly to grab my camera. I keep a lens bag next to the camera so that I can change lenses on the fly. My favorite feature is the side panels that come up when you open the flap. Very thoughtful. The sturdy design also makes this bag durable in the harsh conditions of West Africa. I say that it is simple as there are not the many, many pockets that you see in other bags.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for mini photo session. I use this product to take it to kids ball games and photo walks etc..It looks and feels good and very light to carry. It fits 24-70 f2.8 attached to camera and 70-200 f2.8 easily after you remove all the extra partitions. Even though you can fit iPad or Surface with camera gear, i don't use it. I saw people complaining about the length of belt, I am 6'1 and it feels perfect to me. It could be personal preference though. If you are planning to take this bag for day or two with smaller lens, you could fit charger and may be flash. I have Caselogic backpack to lug around whole gear but this bag is very useful on a daily basis and you don't look like a DORK with this bag on :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Carry-on Bag I probably own thirty bags, satchels, camera bags, etc. I'm always searching for the perfect size for every job. This one turns out to be just squat enough to stand up under an airline seat, and leave plenty of leg room on the side, so it's my new go-to carry-on bag. The interior sleeve is the right size for my 9.7 iPad, the bag is well constructed, the dividers do the job, and there's no wasted space.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A travel bag I just returned from a week in Iceland. I purchased the bag wanting one that was water resistant and light weight but held enough gear for the trip. It worked trekking up waterfalls and glaciers as well as in the quiet strolls of the city. This bag fit the bill, often with room to spare.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not Big Enough I ordered the Event Messenger 150 Shoulder bag for a month long trip to India. I needed to carry one GH-3 Lumix camera with short lens, a longer lens, adapters,2 batteries, chargers, and a few wallets and other small items. The video you show looks bigger, I think it was for the Messenger 250. Other videos were also misleading. I returned it for the larger, 250 Lowepro, and am much happier. It can also carry an iPad or 13 X 8 folder. One thing I don't like about all of these models, NO ZIPPER to close it!
