The R-MIX Audio Processing Software from Roland provides visual audio manipulation, which is powered be V-Remastering technology that was developed in conjunction with VariPhrase. This software lets you see various components of a stereo mix as color-coded clouds. This method of interfacing with an audio file allows you to select individual components of a mix and freely edit them to create karaoke files, study tools, remixes, and mash-ups. Old recordings can be cleaned up by applying noise reduction and effects.
The R-MIX software makes it easy to create "minus-one" files from existing songs by lowering the level of a pre-recorded vocal or any other instrument, ideal for karaoke or playing an instrument part with backing. Alternately, you can isolate any instrument in a mix and then slow it down to learn it more easily. You can also change panning positions and levels, adjust speed and pitch, and even add effects to individual components, resulting in entirely new mixes and mash-ups. Of course, you can save your creations as music files for playback on standard music devices or for importing into popular music software programs.
R-MIX offers all of this capability with only a single screen to navigate. There is no need to switch screens or dig through menus. The controls are designed to promote a natural workflow for terrific ease-of-use and quick operation. A built-in help window is provided for each task, eliminating the need for a printed manual. R-MIX works on Mac and Windows computers for use in practically any home or studio.
