The Realtree AP Snow LensCoat for the Canon 600mm f/4 IS II Lens from LensCoat covers the lens with a 100% closed-cell neoprene coat, offering protection from weather, bumps, jars and nicks. This protective coat allows your lens to blend in with your surroundings, making it useful for nature and outdoor photographers since it can help camouflage your lens from wildlife. It is also an effective accessory for sports shooters and photojournalists who are regularly subjected to less than optimal shooting and climate conditions. The Realtree AP Snow LensCoat is useful in autumn or early winter when there is snow on the ground and a trace of foliage left on the trees.

It features a clear plastic window located in a position that allows you to maintain access to all lens functions, including the distance scale. There is a handy alignment hole that will make mounting the lens to your DSLR body easy.

The LensCoat also provides a thermal barrier, protecting your hands from the cold lens surface in lower temperatures. It is easy to install and remove, leaving no residue on the lens. The LensCoat is waterproof, providing protection in harsh conditions. The increased protection offered by this cover can help preserve the resale value of your lens.

A clear, flexible UV-PVC window allows access to the AF/IS/VR controls and the distance-scale window
Features a custom hole that reveals a red dot for easy alignment to the camera body without having to remove the cover
Helps maintain value of the lens by protecting it from any scratches
Makes the lens easier to use in cold temperatures
Easy to install and remove - leaves no residue on lens
Makes the lens less visible during wildlife photography

LensCoat for the Canon 600mm f/4 IS II Lens (Realtree AP Snow) is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poorly thought out design I love lens coat products. They help protect my lens from nicks and dinks. Plus the camouflage color covers the white which really sticks out when I am photographing in wild. Why only 3 stars and the headline? This product is simply not well designed. The openings with clear plastic covers should be openings. It is rather hard to move the switches through the plastic. This is a minor problem, I can remove the clear plastic. There is no opening for the drop in filter. MAJOR problem The prefocus buttons are hidden under the neoprene.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good product, but not well thought out I have had LensCoats for my various long lens for years. They work well but are not really not well thought out. It is very hard to manipulate the switches under the plastic covers - I cut mine open. Hard to find the alignment dot for mounting the lens onto the camera - it would be helpful if they sewed a little red dot to be placed over the len's red dot. If you use a long lens bag (African safari) the lenscoat curls up over the hood. If there was a competition, I would buy it, or perhaps the lenscoat prices would drop by 50% which would make it fairly price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lernscoat for big lenses This is a great product as it looks great, camoflages a big lens and most importantly keeps the lens in A1 condition giving the best resale value. I have used Lenscoat protection on six of my big lenses and although I did not intend selling any of them when I first invested in Lenscoat(s), when new series 2 lenses were released and I wanted to upgrade, my lenses looked in mint condition when I traded them in. These are an absolute essential item when trecking on safari and take all the fear out of most minor scratching situations such as being in a hide or in the back of a 4x4. David (Australia)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit and peace of mind The fit is perfect. Once on, I havent taken it out for a year now. Gives peace of mind as I dont need to be worried about any scratches or other cosmetic damage to the lens, which means, more money when i sell this lens. While putting it on, you will need to remove the tripod mount from the lens. It makes it easier to put on the smaller parts on to the lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Required before lens sees outdoors I've used Lenscoat on my Superteles (500 f4, 300 2.8 and now 600II) for years. I would not take a new lens out of the house until it has been outfitted with one. It protects against nicks, scratches and light dings, which helps maintain the value of the lens. It's also great when using for nature/wildlife photography as it help camouflage the big lens. Use:I don't have any issues with the switches; I just use my fingernails to operate them. As far as using the prefocus button, you can just simply peel back the Lenscoat a little and have full access to them no big deal. Also, I have no issues using the focus ring; just place my hand and fingers around it and turn, just as I did without the Lenscoat installed.Installation:When you install the Lenscoat, you don't have to be gentle with it, put it on. The hood has always been the toughest to install. I find it easier if the roll it back on itself, place it on, then roll it the rest of the way. Also, make sure to align the holes as close to the knobs as possible or you will be fighting to align it. To easily mount the focus ring and middle button sections, you should remove the lens foot, which is very easy just use the appropriate allen key. Noteworthy:One thing I noticed with the Lenscoat for the 600II is they seem to have thought carefully about the stitching placement (i.e. made so that the stitching is under the lens and not seen). On my previous set for the 500 f4, the threads were placed so that they were in plain view, especially the hood, and I didn't like that. You have to pay attention to detail, even if it's just accessories. So thumbs up to them for paying more attention to detail.Recommendation:Lenscoat is well worth the investment to maintain the look and value of your lens and I'd highly recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Fit Good fit on the lens. I did remove the plastic covering over the buttons.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good protection and Cammo for large lens Few minor issues with this cover which is otherwise excellent: It is difficult to manipulate the manual focus with cover attached. (I cut off about 1 of the proximal end of this piece to allow gripping the len's ribbed focus ring). As others have described, the switches are a little difficult to manipulate under the clear plastic windows. Some folks cut these windows out; I just live with it, preferring to keep the protection of the cover intact.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Better description needed. I returned this item unused. Upon receiving, I looked at the instructions, which stated you must remove lens foot to install. The manuel with my new Canon 600mm lens said that they recommended that it be sent to a canon repair shop if the foot is to be changed (it comes with a smaller spare foot for monopod). Had the description said the foot needed to be removed, I would not have purchased this item.
